I got a extension idea

soooo this idea might be impossible but my idea is a extension where you can record something with your microphone and put it in your game basicly voices but yeah that might not be possible

It’s theoretically possible. @UnsignedArduino has an MIDI to MakeCode converter so you hear the music beeps and boops of MakeCode Arcade. Voices are harder though because of how fast the waves can change (spoken from me a guy who knows less than a random guy on the streets of New York).
In GitHub a MakeCode project can probably play an mp3 file normally but the general consensus I have with using GitHub for related things is it takes away a bit from the Arcade experience the app is meant for. That’s just my hot take though so I’m sure if you ask someone specifically who knows a lot more about audio than I do and who has more time than I do they could probably make your request!

thats not possible until @moderators add a sim function to do that (aka something we cant do)

I mean, you can’t really do that I’m pretty sure, but you can use audio converters and the SAMMY text to speech tools (look on the Awesome Arcade Website or just look around the forums)

Not sure if this is off topic, but micro:bit kinda has something like this with it’s recording extension

I THINK they can do it because my friend is a scratch fan and I have seen him record his voice

Wdym “my friend is a scratch fan and I have seen him record his voice”? Does he use makecode or just scratch? I use scratch frequently and you can record your voice there.

specifically the microphone part is impossible

microphone support isn’t in makecode yet!

you can’t do that on runtime though in makecode, you could easily use a converter outside of makecode but an extension is impossible

Just Scratch. HE JUST EDITS THE TEXTURES AND CALLS IT A NEW GAME! Butttttttttttttttttttt RARLY he codes a game. I’m the only one who prefers Makecode

Oh I assumed he meant record audio beforehand and then play it. If he meant record during gameplay that’s also possible but it leans even further away from MakeCode and it would involve adding extra ui in the GitHub pages site.

Do you tell him “you just edited the textures bro”?
