So I made an extension and it will show up when I type the link in the arcade and editor. I can click it but when I do and it brings me back to my editor no files show up in the explorer.
It’s not a problem with the code in the file (I think) because if I add a file to the explorer and paste in the code it shows up and works perfectly. WHAT CAN I DO!
Hi, @RobbyZero ! Are you willing to share a link to your extension so that we can take a look?
Hi, @RobbyZero !
The biggest thing that stands out to me is that the GitHub repository looks incomplete. Did you delete any files from the repository?
Here’s what I would suggest:
- Start with a new MakeCode project.
- Copy the code from your existing Advanced-Math.ts file and place it in a new file in your new MakeCode project.
- Use the tool in MakeCode to push your new project to a new GitHub repository.
- Note: If you want to keep your existing project name, then you can! Just rename the existing repo to something else (or delete it entirely; your choice).
When working with GitHub, always use the tools within the MakeCode editor to work with your repository. Also, do not delete any files that MakeCode creates in your repository. MakeCode only creates the files that it needs, and it does need all of those files in order for your project to work correctly.
Keep us posted, good sir!
To add to what @AlexK said, make sure to leave metadata in the README file. It’s the bit at the bottom that says “metadata”, and it’s necessary for the extension to work. I’m saying this because I noticed you changed the README file, and recently my extension stopped working when I did that, so just a heads up.
It worked when I used the built-in makecode extension tool. Thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much.
