Hello,
Thank you so much for your wonderful work ! I followed all your instructions and the installation in Recalbox went fine, as well as the elf files of my home brewed games your GitHub repository is well explained even for non native English speaker like me and beginner in the arcade world.
I am on raspberry pi 4 with recalbox 8.0 and I manage to launch the games (controls work fine) but unfortunately, the games freeze and crash after a few seconds. I am sorry to bother about this but did you get some feedback about this situation ? I’ll continue to look for a solution anyway but if you have any clue let me know thank you in advance !
Thanks for the kind words and for trying McAirpos, @MonkeyMan!
No bother; we’re both interested in this working, and maybe the error seeking process could help others or require some mending of the source code.
Could you please open this issue in the McAirpos repo on GitHub; it functions as a knowledge base and it’s easier to cooperate when we do not have to wait anywhere from 1-48 hours for moderation of each post…
In the meantime I would suggest to check out the McAirpos log file under /log right after experiencing this crash, and testing some basic game without many extensions or advanced functions for some possible hints towards many common problems. See you there!
Thank you for your fast answer, I’ll do that !
The log file should be /tmp/McAirpos.log, sorry I did not recall correctly in my last post…
Hey im trying this on my 1gb ram computer with recalbox pc 8.11 electron i tried both. 7.22 reloladed 32 bits on the same pc but when i execute the script and it install i put a game but when i try to open it i get an error saying that there are missing mandatory bios files or bad mandatory bios files then i checked the bios folder and there was no makecode arcade folder so i think thats the problem or i dont know so please if you can try recalbox on pc to see if u get the same error and if you can find a solution.
Bye.
Hi @aaadddcom,
If you are trying to use McAirpos, it only works with MakeCode Arcade games on a Raspberry Pi or similar ARM SBCs.
Some attempts have been done and ideas exist to try to get them to run outside the browser simulator on PCs as well, but not sure how this has evolved lately.
