Yeah I feel that sometimes, but I haven’t seen much stuff get pushed to the next day, unless it’s on the week end. But I do think that moderating the forum does slow the makecode dev down a little bit
Thank you for inviting Phat to this forum,
Phat is from Thailand and is interested in projects related to Makecode. After entering the Makecode forum, Phat saw a friendly atmosphere. In this forum, Phat saw a warp that was related to Makecode and it was a very suitable warp, Thank you very much You are a lovely big brother, Richard. UWU
I keep getting flagged by mods my game is appropriate and it still gets flagged I think the flag system is getting abused
What do u put in ur games bro the mods always put explanations which are always reasonable
My game is about a mushroom who wants to be fast it has no bad words or anything that would make mods flag my post
Hi, I just have a question about the rules.
It says to not overshare, including things such as my full name and email, but when I go to my profile I can see my email, which has my full name, is this a problem?
This information is not shown to other users, only you and site admins (so no, not a problem) ~
LOL. I was just clicking on this and I saw jwunderls post well uh post, in real time
What r the rules on cursing?
TL;DR Version
- Here on the forums: Don’t
- In your projects: Don’t
Full Version

Usually, if I see cursing in a post while I am moderating, I’ll either edit it out, send it back, or (for egregious posts) simply delete it from the queue. If the post is in one of the social threads, I’m slightly more lenient (but not by much). Other moderators may operate slightly differently.
It’s a bit different for MakeCode projects. The content filter does most of the heavy lifting for us, but we still go through every project and (as best we can) send back projects with inappropriate language.
What happens if people curse in another language ? Will that get flagged too ?
Does saying “what the hell” or something along those lines count as foul language? I’ve seen it before and I’ve reported it but no one ever really clarified that specific statement
i don’t want to get into the business of making an explicit list of what is and isn’t a curse word (especially since that list itself wouldn’t be allowed on this forum) but in general i think we don’t tend to police the use of the soft curse words like “hell”, “damn”, or “crap” too closely. i mention these only because people do occasionally flag them as inappropriate, but we usually just ignore the flag and restore the post.
of course, it all depends on context. if you’re using these words to mock or bully somebody, then of course that would not be allowed on this forum. and we don’t have any hard and fast rules here; at the end of the day it’s up to the opinion of whoever is moderating the forum at the moment so please bear with us.
also, don’t take this as an invitation to sprinkle those in at every opportunity. i’m only mentioning this so that i have something to point to when people flag things. if you’re ever in doubt about whether you should use a word or not, then best not to use it both on this forum and in life
For all languages (English included!), we rely on the community to verify the work of the moderation team. If you recognize an improper phrase, then please flag it as you would anything else, and we will scrutinize the post more closely.
Games are a little more difficult imo. As long as I put a warning is it okay to proceed on “soft” swear words?
