Q: Why switch to a year round model
A: 2 Things, 1. I am inpatient and after the success of MGA 2025 I am physically unable to wait 11 Months for the Next MGA. 2. Time, there is not enough time for nominations which result in me having to fill up the spots myself, in MGA 2025 some categories was filled entirely with games i put there myself
Q: Can I Nominate Myself
A: No, but although not encouraged you can coerce someone else to nominate you (e.g. Airstrikes, Steam Support, etc)
Q: Does a Game have to be made in 2026
A: No, as long as a game matches the theme and meets the requirements on a category it will be accepted
Q: How does a game get the Makecode Excellence Award
A: I will pick 4 good games and they get voted on by the Community
Q: What is the Golden Meatball
A: The Golden Meatball is a Game that I personally believe deserves an Award, The Golden Meatball will be taking the role of MGA 2025’s Makecode Excellence Award

Hey @MeatballDev! Just making sure, but all the games of the Awards have to be from THIS year, right? Also do we count updates from this year? I feel like we should only pick from games that are newly created from this year as then we can introduce people to more games made this year. So, no games like Solaris 1.6 (Love the game tho) or like Hebes: Remastered, as i feel like that would go into an update/revamp category instead, then again you could as some Award for best Makecode game upgrade/Revamp.
Don’t think about it too much, I’m just suggesting what i think could be cool/work but I am really excited to see this year’s awards!
