MakeCode Kart

Me too lol

@TheGreenArtist you can make maps, but I plan on implementing a version using tilemaps (after mini game jam 4), and it will work through GitHub so people can contribute all at once instead of me having to import all the assets manually. Once I have the new version done (or in a workable beta version), I’ll send a GitHub link that you can import and send pull requests/make commits.

I’m gonna add me sooooo yea

https://arcade…com/#editor It is done enjoy

https://arcade.makecode.com/#editor Awesome Kirby game wip I make levels almost every day

Uhhh… you just gave the link to the editor. You have to share the game in the top right corner.

To be clear, the editor link just opens the editor for whatever project that person had last used. This means that you’ll see your game, but the #editor link doesn’t work for anyone else.

MakeCode team, would it be possible to add a hook to the forum editor to warn people when they try to post that specific link? It’s an easy mistake to make, especially since it seems to work when the user tests it themselves.

As a side note, please don’t advertise your games in random popular threads, it’s cleaner to just start a new thread. (Of course you’re free to link if it’s relevant, for example if it’s directly related to the thread topic.)

You should post this in its own discussion… And you gave the link to editor.

Hey, just a quick question. Is this game still in development?

Not currently, I will probably start work on a revamp sometime though! It will include a lot of cool features, and I’d like to release it when online multiplayer with every player having their own screens becomes a thing! (Assuming it will at some point!) As a racing game,.the most fun (imo) can be had in multiplayer, and without multiplayer the game seemed kind of boring… Nevertheless, even if multi-screen multiplayer never exists, I’ll probably make some sort of new version that is a collab and where anyone can submit their own tracks!

I will still use KWX’s engine for rendering the courses, but I came across this YT video that explains a mode 7 - style 3d coded into C++, and I made an Arcade project based on that video and it runs really well!

It won’t do much on hardware as it isn’t optimized for hardware like KWX’s engine (and it doesn’t have sprites/objects), but it runs great on the simulator!

It even can have a top easily!
I just did this for fun, as a proof-of-concept!

I made a blocks port with my extension, it doesn’t run as well because it is using functions, but it is entirely viewable in blocks which is cool, and it may show how to do something like this to non-typescript users (even if it doesn’t run on hardware lol).
