I already have a different game loaded onto it, which could be the problem, but I’m not sure if it is. Grant you, the thing was left untouched for several months, but I even unscrewed the thing and looked inside. Everything seemed fine. If anyone knows how to fix this, please tell me.
Did you try it wired? If you use a computer, send your game to a file (like downlading) and download your game to the device from there.
I did try it wired, and I use Chrome to run the website. The cord is short, white, and didn’t have the USB symbol on the usb side.
Is it the cord that came with it? Because mine WILL NOT work on any other cord than the one it came with. If that dosen’t work, try making sure its off before plugging it in. If that dosn’t work, try making sure webUSB is enabled on your browser. If THAT doesn’t work, try getting the offline app and doing all of the above with it.
Some USBs are data and power, some are just power. The one that comes with it is definitely data and power. You need to make sure that the one you’re using is both data and power. The USB trident logo is usually a marker of a data cable, so it you find one like that, or find the original it came with, then it should work.
oh, and USBs are enabled in my settings I believe.
I’m pretty sure it is, the only difference if it weren’t the right one would be the lack of a USB symbol on the USB plug’s side. Also, once I plug it in while it’s off, it boots up to the game I had on it and shows the charging light pattern and the handheld can’t be turned off while plugged in. Lastly, almost the entire app is in Spanish or some other language and will only show my game. (The app in question is called MakeCode-Android)
we do not have an android (or ios app), way to use makecode on those devices is just in the browser.
I looked it up and all the Android apps are crappy and don’t work, 2-3 stars. Many people are complaining that the app is not in English. One reviewer said that you have to have your location turned on to be able to pair using the app, so maybe try that?
I would recommend just using the normal browser version. https://arcade.makecode.com/ which will probably be in English, depending on your location, but you can switch the language in the settings if it’s incorrect:
The app is unofficial and very broken. Use the browser version!
