Need help with updating games

Im working on a game that gets frequent updates that I share with my friends, but the problem is it uses save data. You might think that this is a good thing and you dont see the problem, but whenever I give my friends the updated version of the game, they lose all of their save data. I want to know if there’s any way to save data through updated links. Can someone help me?

You might be able to have someone make a password then type the password in after an update, then you could load the save! There is an extension called https://github.com/jacobcarpenter/pxt-password-save! I have never tried before, so this might not work!

GitHub lol

ok, the problem is that i’ll have to make a password for EVERYONE, and its most likely my friends wont answer, since i chat to them on gmail (cuz of break) and since each person can get SOO much save data, there’s just gonna be a TON of work that I really don’t wanna do. But recently of heard if this “persistent links”, do you know what that is?

what?

github.io pages with makecode games keep data

Right now i’m making an event called “score hoard”, where the higher your highest score is, the more rewards you get from the event, and when you press V to open the event menu, you get all of the rewards at once for some reason. Could somebody tell me why this happens?

oh god this is confusing. I don’t understand a single thing, but from what I can make out of the instructions, I’m making my own website!? I’m not sure websites can be made using blocks…

nevermind what I said, IM GOING FOR IT.

wait i fixed it, the problem was that i accidentally set it to check if your high score is LESS than the high score needed to get the rewards.
