Odd behavior started then vanished 30 minutes later… on multiple machines/OS’s and browser variants.
So we literally spent 30 minutes watching walls be painted/designated on tilemap tiles, only to have them utterly ignored by the engine. … EVERYTHING passed through them…no matter what
Tried several graphics layer re-ordering and code order of creation attempts to fix the glitchy bug and had zero success, returned to the tile map and literally EVERY wall had become un-painted that was previously pink/red… as if all our work was undone, behind the scenes… making walls ineffective at preventing passage of sprites through them.
Seems to happen more with the paint bucket than the pencil
(also tried hacky methods of custom tile and kind/type designations set to custom type wall or wall2 with no success either)
needless to say this makes game making a tad difficult when trying to teach gravity Vy negative overcoming Ay positive and use of the wall painting tool both for side-scrollers or for blocking terrain in map based games.
30 minutes later everything returned to “normal” and worked again… this was 3:10-3:30 Mountain standard time 9/17/26 … if it was an update of or server side issue.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE investigate walls as a special in-engine designation … and/or the paint bucket behaving differently vs pencil. Not sure what else to say?
