RedScript Network - Collab?

Well, as long as the mods approve it, I guess it’s fine, because they probably wouldn’t approve something that’s not… allowed? I guess?

Going to make a cyberbuild for this, BIG update.

So how has the Chat going looking forward to seeing it

Wait!

Use this version! It’s a bit more restrictive, but it should help a bit.

It would be amazing to include Nintendo Land-style games into this OS, specifically like the Luigi’s Mansion one (the best Nintendo Land minigame), and then have events where people join online and it would be SUPER fun.

I have an idea for a group chat app for Redscript. Could you guys have it on it?

Totally, man! Go for it!

I also have an idea.
I think we’re gonna split development of RedScript in 2. One side works mainly on the Operating System and User Interface, and the other works on the Networking System.

That’s a good idea. I’m in for it.

Hi, is it ok if I can join?

I can help with the networking side of things; I already made a scuffed email.

Cheers!

Well, Someone needs to fork the repo.
I will be working on the Base version (like, a lot) while @jackal will work on the Network Version. I will fix bugs with those. however, They need two repositories in order to prevent confusion. So, @jackal, when you do create the first network build, please fork the repo that I made for the network version?

Can I help? I can add minigames, and maybe even implement online events (when networking is finished) into them so you can log on at a certain time and play with other real people who are also on the OS. If I help, it’ll probably be towards the end of development, so the base OS can be built up with as little lag as possible (or I could just make a branch and merge later).

sure you can!

RedScript has gotten a lot more popularity than it used to!

I made an organization for this project- Don’t worry it’s on the free plan

You can join as well!

Here’s the link to the organization!
If you want to join give me your github username and I will invite you!

In this account is a repo I made. It consists of the universal build that we will use for RedScript Base & Network.

If you are making a release to this repo, please follow these 5 rules.

  1. Use the latest build prior
1a. Make sure that everyone knows that you are working on the next build So that we don’t have two seperate versions of the same name.
1b. Use the most recent build (As of right now, that is 0.1.0, so use that instead of 0.0.6 or earlier)
  2. Specify if you are working on the Networking side of development or on the Base side
2a. Version 0.1.0 is an exception, as it is the starting version of both the Networking AND the Base Versions.
2b. Version Naming is like this. Base v0.1.1 / Network v0.1.1
  3. Make sure that you do not break the code!
3a. This is an exception to Rule 1. If the code in (let’s say) v0.5.2 is broken, use v0.5.1. If that has problems too, use v0.5.0. Continue going further back until the last stable build (In this case, v0.4.8.) name this v0.4.9, and then continue that way.
3b. If the code is completely broken, list an issue and then name the error. (If it’s the first error in development, name it (Error 1x(Version)). For Example, let’s go back to 0.5.2. If that had a game-breaking code. There should be a fix on error 1x052, so development (if in network) should circle on that while development (in base) should continue normally. When it gets fixed, the development should continue like normally. If it doesn’t, revert to the first build that is broken (v0.4.9) and try to compare it to the last stable build (v0.4.8) if you still can’t find a fix, probably ask for help on the forums
  4. You can help with development in both the Base and Network Versions
4a. If you are on the Base Version, you can help with Networking, but just remember, the Base version is more of a consumer approach, while the Networking is more business (they will be merged for the first release, v1.0.0)
  5. Do not make any apps that are inappropriate, or interfere with the main system.
5a. You can make games, just make sure that they are safe, and don’t have bugs.
5b. If one of the games has a bug, try to debug it. If it causes a problem, revert to step 3 and try to do the things that I listed there. If you do wind up fixing it, tell the creator of the game and post a release.

Would it be possible to add emails, like example001@redmail.com?
