New Sound Jam Game:

Introducing my next game, being entered into the MakeCode Arcade Mini Game Jam: Sound Jam. It will be titled SATURN Studios’ Hidden Shades. It’ll feature a newly designed stealth system where you’ll have to keep track of your sounds and visibility. You’ll acquire abilities, meet new faces, and use whatever strategy you want to get to the goal. More intriguing news arriving soon!

General Update

So recently i had to pause game development cus i got logged out of my Microsoft account for awhile but since then everything has been sorted out and development can continue. Because of that i’ve decided to give some updates on games.

  1. Sonic Stratos will be getting major updates on a first demo and it’s contents soon.

  2. My new fighting game will be revealed soon as well with a demo or something along those lines being released after Sonic Strato’s demo.

  3. I’m already Planning out games for 2026 including Hidden Shades, Links Awakening Tech-Demo, and more previous publicly available games. And they’ll of course be new games, including a spinoff game for the 5th anniversary of the Diego series. And Diego fate may also be getting a cool update later in the fall season

  4. Finally, i’ve figured out what type of tutorials i’d like to post here as well as i’m now open to assisting on other projects as art support or code support. I’ll talk about that more later but it’s basically exactly how it sounds :P-

And thats about all folks, if you have any questions let me know and thanks for the great year of games we’ve had thus far! For me 2025 as far as projects is basically cooked. Diego Illusions got dragged out to an unacceptable degree and alot of games are still waiting on updates. I’m working to make sure 2026 is a better year of Saturn games.

SATURN Games

I’m conflicted on multiple levels with publishing the rest of my MakeCode games. I’m not interested in break anymore promises and canceling games because that would be massive waste of everyone’s time. However, how much I may actually involve myself in the Makecode community is questionable. And going to sit and think about my future decisions for awhile until I figure out the best course of action.

No games other than Diego Illusions are canceled at this time.

Don’t say that, I’ll care! I’ve always loved the Diego games.

Ok let me rephrase this whole thing. First, I’m aware that there are some people that do enjoy my games. That’s been a blatant fact especially from all the support I’ve received, however, it’s been mostly obscure. That wasn’t of course something I was complaining about, because I care more about making something cool than gaining popularity, this isn’t social media afterall, thank goodness, it’s a forum. But something I’ve come to realize off platform and even on the forum is that there’s a alot of dishonesty and people can be disingenuous. Said praise can be void, and specifically with me and Diego Illusions I’ve come to find that people held back critism for the game, which could’ve helped alot. And it’s far from just a “new users” thing, because, new users have always existed, it’s just a Makecode forum culture thing.

That, and how artificial things can feel. Contributing to the feelings of disingenuous actions, there’s been a large wave of making everything sound like massive team of coders or a massive business on the forums, yeah i’m guilty of the same thing I’ve come to realize recently, and I think that kinda detracts from the forums to me but it really comes down to opinion. I think the fake teams and stuff can be fine if they’re actual teams and aren’t exaggerated and the news stations are ok when they aren’t sounding like an AI overview. Really, all this just made me realize why I don’t really like the direction of the forums nowadays, along with everything I’ve listed previously, and more specifically the response from some users reminded me of why I felt that way. I’m not gonna act like we can change this or this will change eventually but because this is probably the natural evolution of the forums but I just thought i’d shed some light on why some older users decide to leave. It’s an in depth thing, there’s so many reasons, it can’t be boiled down to “people dislike excessive talking and off-topicness”. Idk maybe this’ll make things more clear

Diego Illusions’ initial development

Thought i might make a small post about how DTSI was created, since it’s kinda interesting and reveals a bit more about why it was so hard to continue developing.

Diego Illusions was never supposed to replace Diego Fate however for some reason i decided to make this game: (might look for the original link later)

It was a prototype diego multiplayer physics test i made for just me and my friends to race in. However, i ended up liking the momentum based gameplay so much i impulsively stopped working on Diego Fate and saw this game as the new future for Diego games. Now of course i wish i kept working on Fate because now Illusions has virtually killed the series for me, but i thought that was interesting. (Also as you can see here, the multiple player thing was initially supposed to be in Illusions but i was too lazy to implement it fully).

Also, might Re-released some Diego games for the forum for Diego’s 5th Anniversary this year.

Wow…
All of my characters were created after I joined the forum. None of them are even close to a 5 year anniversary.

Arcade Fighter Update

So, some updates on this games development. So thanks to some collaborative issues the games roster has been nearly cut in half and a few new problems have arrived that have put a stall on progress. I have faith that the latter can be solved but the former is pretty annoying.

Since i’m have thses creative issues and junk i might make the project open for more users but it really depends on these glitches. So more updates later. But for now, enjoy this small updated teaser
