No I just opened it up just as an example lol!
But fun fact I did make part of Solaris on my phone and after that experience I’m never coding on my phone again, it’s really difficult.
I do the same
me? if its me. ive tried. but no
saaaaaammmmmmeeeeee broooo
respect
At this point I’ve played on every single platform, (The Xbox App, PC, and Mobile and I’ve never encountered this bug, so I’m pretty sure it’s a bug with Makecode) but if this persists I’m probably just going to update Solaris early to see if this fixes anything. Really sorry for the inconvenience.
Hey everyone! I’m here to announce update…

Yes I finally released this update after quite a while and here we are! I didn’t add too much this update, but I wanted to lay out the groundwork for what’s to come in the future of Solaris.
Skins
(You can’t see the full design on this, but you get the idea.)
Here are four more skins I’ve added to keep your selection fresh and something new. With these I’ve tried something a little different by messing around with the shape of skin this time instead of remaking the original skin with a different design. Hope you guys like them!
Unlockable Skins
These next three skins I’ve locked behind a small challenge (which may be an understatement) where you need to complete a certain task in order to unlock them
(Note: the requirements for unlocking these will most likely be made easier in the future)
These skins are unique as if you equip them and play around with them, they each have their own unique interaction with the game…but no spoilers… : )
Clans
For this update I decided to add one new mythic clan and one entirely new type of clan to the game which are called Secret Clans. These clans aren’t obtained by regular means of spinning and trying to obtain it. Some may be harder to obtain and some may be easier and that’s as far as I’ll go for explaining that.
Anyways the first clan is…
This clan goes in a different direction than most as it has a feature unique to it, which is the ability to transform and become even more powerful!
When loading into a run you’ll see that there is a new bar that pops up above your already existing shield and health bars. This bar is called the Awakening Bar and is charged up when you destroy enemies. Once you charge is up fully you can press B in order to transform into your awakened state.
In this state you do 50 more damage which is a significant boost whether you’re just starting out or in the late game, but be careful because once you active this ability you need to continuously eliminate enemies to maintain it, or you revert back to your original form.
The next clan is…
Now I obviously won’t go into how to obtain this clan and I won’t spoil it’s stats either but all I will say is, although this clan is the most broken in the game, there’s a BIG catch to using it and I’d say you’d have to be pretty skilled to use it. But that’s for all of you to figure out later…
Anyways that wraps it up for clans!
Bosses
Now this boss has to be the most unique boss I’ve added to this game so far, not so much with mechanics, but with lore implications. This is the first boss I’ve added which will be part of a much bigger story I’m planning to tell in future updates…
The name of this boss is the Cargo Ship, and lets just say what it’s carrying has the potential to change the way you play Solaris. Maybe I’m overexaggerating or maybe I’m not, it’s yours to decide on what to do with what it drops…
The final thing I’ll say for this boss is that it requires specific conditions in order to encounter it.. but that’s all for now.
Final Notes
That’s all for this update, I plan on releasing more soon. I have different difficulties, a story mode, and new enemies and bosses planned at the moment as well as some balance changes and caps being set on certain upgrades. I just wanted to say thanks to everybody for following this game ever since I released it and waiting so long for me to finally update it. And for those who are just finding this game I’m truly glad, I hope you enjoy this game as much as I do! That’ll be it for now. Thanks everybody!

Hey everyone! I’m back with another Solaris update! (already?) And this is update…
When I said I was planning on releasing more soon, I wasn’t kidding!
This update changes the flow of Solaris so it can fit your play style, balance changes to the game, and something else but I think I’m forgetting…
Difficulties
As someone who has been playing Solaris for a pretty long time, it gets pretty boring when you get to the point where you can mow down bosses and enemies with ease with no real challenge and I’m sure others share the same sentiment. So that’s why I decided to add multiple difficulties not just to ensure players always have some sort of challenge but also to suit different playstyles.
If you just like watching things blow up and don’t really care about progressing chose something like Trivial, Easy, or Normal. If you want a challenge and want to progress in the game you can chose a difficulty like Hard, Harder and so on.
You can choose a difficulty when you start a run and press the up or down arrows to increase or decrease it. I made a total of 7 difficulties to choose and I hope you guys like this change offering more variety in how you play!
Balances and Changes
Another few set of changes that I’m making is setting a limit as to how far you can upgrade your ship. Personally I would play to the point where I had over 300 attack or a really large health or shield stat that would make me practically invincible which got really boring really fast. So I set a limit on each so you can still feel powerful but still be challenged while playing. These limits are:
- Cap on shield set to 50
- Cap on Health set to 150
- Cap on Attack set to 50
(Note these may be subject to change in the future)
These are still pretty big numbers but still fit in the flow of the game. Plus these limits can be set higher if you have a clan as well.
Other Changes
Certain enemies and bosses are now locked behind certain difficulties mainly for the reason of balance as well. To sum it up it wouldn’t really make sense for a 50K HP boss to spawn in a difficulty like Normal or Hard but it would make sense for something harder.
New Enemies?
With more difficulties means more enemies to face!
I won’t go into what they do or what they’re names are for now, but you can encounter them in the game!
That’s it for this update!

When I roll a clan (e.g. Sword), how do I equip the clan’s powers, or when I roll the clan, does its powers have already applied on me?
They’re already turned on as soon as you roll the clan. You can see the stat difference if you go into upgrades before rolling a clan and then going back after to see how they changed. Hope that helps!

my goal is to become the biggest solaris sweat since @Ima.notarobot too pixel smash
Good luck getting the secret clan, I didn’t make it easy ![]()
that game still freezes if reloaded is there a way to get back to the menu
Since multiple people are having this error and I’ve never had this error once I’m gonna ask a few questions. Does the console just stop? Like there’s an error or something and it just pauses?
Could you take a screenshot of what’s happening? Does this happen when you die or does this happen when you click the reload button on the console?
Also to get back to the menu if it’s not working just reload the page for now.
It’s really odd how I’ve never had this error.
Answers would be really appreciated from you or anyone else that’s having the same problem!

- yes it stops the game just stops playing and controls like the joystick dont move
- I think so I’m not sure
- one step ahead a gif showing it in action

- happens when you just reload
Now for questions for you
- are you playing it on the share link or in the simulator while coding
- do you remember this happening a while ago and fixing it
- Any more questions and I’m happy to help

Thanks for the info really helpful! I played on my phone and I was playing on my PC through the share link btw. Plus this has never happened while fixing it. However I do get the same issue on my phone alone (not my pc) and from what I’ve seen I’ve come to these conclusions.
-
If the control stops and the joystick aren’t moving it’s likely the website rather then the game not working, because if it were the game and there was an error, the console would look something like this
So we now know it isn’t an error -
Next I play tested this on two devices, that being my phone, my computer, and the most freezing I experienced was on my phone and my computer I experienced none. Next I had two of my friends test this out on their computers and phones as well. They had similar results. So since our PCs are I’m assuming a lot more powerful than our phones they probably run Solaris a lot smoother than our phones. In the case of my phone I’ve experienced complete freezes where it just stops working entirely and freezes where it’s only for a few seconds and then goes back to normal.
So really with this I’m concluding that the game requires a lot of resources to run or that the game is just laggy because so much is going on at once. This might be from me using a lot of game update blocks and stuff, projectiles, or the visual effects, so I can try and optimize it the best I can for now.
Plus the only real way to solve the freezing at the moment is just by reloading the page which won’t delete any progress because I use the settings extension, but still is pretty annoying nonetheless.
Your info was really valuable and I appreciate your help! I’m probably going to implement a settings tab in the menu in game to edit effects, etc, things that could make the game run slower,
and try to reduce the code too.
