So, after waiting a few months to make a 1:1 replica of Sonic CD, everyone is still making music. That is when I decided to make the same game but as a semi - similar. We could use two more people to help. One for Art and one for Music. Other than that, this is simply an idea that some of us had while we were Sonic CD. the twist there will be a recreation of R2 (dubious depths). To add a bit of variation since Sonic 1 had different zones on the game gear/ master system. @Danny_Devention said he wanted to help and @ThatPrismaticEntity shared us really amazing sprites. This is generally where I’ll post updates.

Heads up I want to remove Wacky Workbench and replace it with Dubious Depths (optional). And special thanks to @ThatPrismaticEntity for getting most of the tiles ready. so, we just need to figure out how we are going to do the time travel mechanics. do we want it like sonic mania (zone1=past, zone2=present) or do we use the signs in sonic cd
I think signs is best but I don’t know how we would code that in
I’ll start setting up variables for time, level, and ring data. In Sonic cd, if Sonic runs past a sign that is labeled future or past and keeps his momentum he goes through time. My idea is that there will be one sign for past and future in each zone except zone 3. If sonic destroys a projector in zone 1 he will be given a good future. But if he also destroys a robot transporter in zone 2, he will be given a time stone hidden in the good future ver. of zone 3. He must destroy the projector and the robot transporter to get the time stone. Sry about the long post
