Sonic 1 SMS Port to MakeCode

So… Anyone up for this? I’m making Sonic 1 SMS, and need help on somethings, like graphics, and music (Sound effects and "on x " blocks will work) so if anyone would help, it’d be greatly appreciated.

I can help with most anything BUT i am working on two pretty big projects currenty so I mostly will help with sprite art and level layouts

You want me to convert all the sprites? (note the loop de loop sprites would probrably be very difficult to program…)

@Astronomicality22 Can I make slight updates to a few of the sprites? and can i change a bit of the pallet to fit with the spritesheet?

… why? There’s a version for c64 already, meaning by just looking up “sonic commodore 64” in google, yahoo, safari, whatever, it will show results that match the color palette and the sprites.

Bro. How are you going to make the art palette better? I chose that because the C64 palette is universal across all sprites in game, making it easier.

@Astronomically22 My sincerist appologies I was at school then was tremendously busy afterwards anyways was going to make the art look less…green…and more like the normal sonic color pallet, plus updating a few of the running and idle animations to new things

Itll hopefully be done by thursday as I am busy tommorow night and will have nearly no time to work on it tommorow (aside from a few times when im not busy) meaning of course I’d have to get the bulk of it done not only tonight but thursday night, (this is gonna take a minute)

No, the SMS has 31 on-screen colors alone, beside the fact it has 64 overall, and 16 colors per sprite, but the Commodore palette is universal (16 colors no matter what). TBH I could, possibly change it to ZX Spectrum, but no person wants that fate.

DEAR GOD NO! The last thing I think you need is stress. And Sonic 1 8-bit (C64, Master System, Game Gear) doesn’t have loop-de-loops.

I’m seeing a few posts about arcade cabinets, might make my own, and expand the game’s content amount (with Brohann’s audio of course) and a few other games (ex. Mario or Sonic game gear but god so help me with game gear)
