Super Metroid Knockoff Thingy Magingy

I have good news and bad news. The bad news is that I am sick. The good news is that In my free time, I have been developing a game! You see, I recently setup a raspberry pi zero with retropie, and was playing some Super Metroid! It’s pretty fun I would say. anyway, I might need some help from people because I am not very good at art or level design, so If you are interested please reply. I already have the main character art, so I am just looking for tiles and tilemaps.

By the way, I will not put Samus in there because that would be boring and also I already made the animations.

your probably right, I might have to take the metroidvania out of this and make it an action shooter.

Huh? Can someone explain to me why I wouldn’t be happy?

Anyways, the game itself is pretty cool. My only issue with it is the tileset as it’s confusing to get around. Not to mention there’s no map, so I don’t know where I am.

I really just used the map to try out physics, and there is nowhere to go really. In the final game there will actually be levels

I mean, not an Anti-Samus hater or anything. I’m still glad someone is enjoying Super Metroid. It’s up to @Brohann’s decision whether or not to include Samus in his game. And yeah, having Samus in every game will get boring. We need to change it up a bit sometimes :wink:
