The biggest game

I present V4: https://makecode.com/_3zDP8j468Awy

I finally figured out some sort of procedural generation. It’s a bit wonky and glitchy, but I think it should work. Any feedback/suggestions are welcome.

I will make the currency, a shop, and a menu. Do you want rhe currency on screen or be the points?

Found a glitch. When you build. You freeze mid air. Also when blocks destroy, maybe make it regain block building material.

For some reason, a game-breaking error popped up. I will have to remake it. It will be ready within a week. I will add current and I will try to add a shop

Sure. we can make it so that each rounds points will be displayed in screen. Each round the players points will add to make in game currency. They can use this currency to buy weapons, skins, etc. You should make the shopping menu and the currency system. We can use the setting extension for the points. The main menu should be fine. We also need some art for the main menu.

I like puzzles

That’s not I glitch. I allowed that to happen so that the player can build underneath themselves. Also returning the building material is a great idea.

you could do that but I highly recommend that it’s best if the story is done first so the puzzles fit in with the story, but you can always think of some and put them down!!!

Okay so my idea of a story;
The story mode of the game could start off in a desolated planet with no one but the player and maybe a couple characters that would help you in the beginning. This could be the tutorial area and where you learn the basic mechanics of the game and things like that! And this planet could be your home/base. There could be a character on this planet that helps you with this and after teaching you, that character could give you missions where you can go around exploring different planets to gain items for the said character.

The way you can travel from planet to planet could be guiding a ship around space and with this, it could lead to small encounters with asteroids, making you have to repair the ship or crash land to planets (if this is possible)

I have more ideas for the planets the player can explore but I think it would be best for now just to tell you guys the start of the story:)

I really like this idea. In the first planet, we can introduce the player to movement, building, shooting, double jumping, wall running, etc. I also like the idea of having to collect parts. We can make it so that the player had a ship and crashed on the first planet. We can make a status bar for seeing how many more parts the player needs to get to the next planet. Each part will fill up the status bar a little bit more. Maybe in the start, the player will only have shooting, and as time goes on the player will unlock abilities like building, double jumping, wall running, better weapons, etc. We can also make it rain enemies that the player has to escape/attack to leave. We can make the enemies attack the player when they “see” the player from a certain range. Each planet that the player explores will have something unique about it and will have different kinds of enemies. The first few levels will be predetermined, but once the player’s ship is completely fixed, they should be allowed to chose which world/planet they wish to explore and battle upon. The parts needed to fix the player’s ship will be scattered across the first 3-5 planets/worlds/maps. I am working on coming up with the names of some of the worlds/planets and what makes them unique and the inhabiting enemy types.

Hello, I have just completed build 5. It isn’t much, but now the player has in game currency, which is basically all the points the player has earned over all their games. I might reduce it a bit in the next build. Should i make the players wealth 1/2 of how many points they have earned or 1/4 or any other fraction? In the next build we should also have a shop, possibly music, and I will try to fit in the story @UnderwaterAstronaut has planned. @LcAtonal you should start work on the shop. I think that the shop should be in the main menu. For now we should just have small things like extra speed, extra jump, double jump, extra maximum health, extra maximum build/shoot material, and extra point modifier. @Agent_14 you should start work on the music! We also need a background artist for the multiple different worlds. I am working on basic backgrounds/ideas/themes/enemies for each world. @Kat can you also make animations for both skin’s jumping/shooting/wall-running/running? I also have a question. I think that in build 6 and onwards, there should be two different status bars: one for shooting material and one for building material. If you agree or disagree let me know.

Two different status bar: shooting and building
