After 2 months of procrastinating, my Sports Game Jam Submission is finally complete!
So, after the game jam ended, about 90% percent of the game was fully finished, yet I was very burnt out and decided to take a very long break. That break definitely helped, because about a week ago I started working on it again and finished it!
Anyway, here’s some info on the game.
The story mode is a little long, so if something happens (like if you were to tab out of the game and then go back in) and the game resets, the “Select Boss” tab in the Main Menu will bring you to the boss selection, where you can go to the boss you fought last, fight him again and then continue the story.
Normally for stories, I usually make them funny, but this time I tried something more serious. Hopefully it’s not cringe lol
A little cheat you can do if you're not the best at fighting:
If you’re stuck on a difficult boss, spam the attack button with the duck button, it’ll make you attack a lot faster and therefore makes the boss a little easier.
By the way, this project has over 60,000 lines of code (mostly due to images I would assume), and has been known to crash the tab it’s in, so be careful ![]()
Boss Details (If You're Stuck)
This is for if you’re stuck on a boss fight and don’t know what to do.
Basically, you have to attack the bosses as much as you can, and if you did enough damage, when they turn red you can hit them again and they die. If you didn’t do enough damage when they turn red, you lose.
On the Backup Boss, I forgot to explain but the only way to deal damage to him is on the red tongue he has.
The Picaroon doesn’t take damage, you just need to dodge him until it’s over.
How to play the game using the png file
Here’s how to play the game.
- Download the image file.
- Open MakeCode.
- Press “Import”
- Drag and drop the file onto the screen.
That should work!
Also here’s a cool unused song:
For @Green_Lizard
sorry for never unremastering your game, I was busy working on this ![]()
One last thing: I would suggest to try not looking at the code… simply because of how badly we coded it
(that’s why there are some bugs, they don’t really affect much though)
Hope y’all like it! ![]()
