The Coder King is indeed one of my biggest inspirations for the Unique-A-Thon. So it’s no surprise that there’s some similarities. Although I did do some things like fan voting, an interactive website, and conferences to separate the Unique-A-Thon from other unofficial game jams.
@Taser, any similarities are simply because if I had to choose the most trusted unofficial tourney on the forums to take notes from, it would be yours. And I don’t expect the Unique-A-Thon to ever be nearly as well hosted as the Coder King. Thank you for the inspiration Taser.

Hello! Would you mind giving me a small extension for my game deadline? I got the new strain of COVID-19 at the end of the last comp which took a ton of time to recover from, and I had two immediate family members birthdays! If you can’t grant one, i can still send what I had time to make, but it is smaller than I would hoped / ufinished yet still playable. If you can, I would hope for atleast wednesday but more is greatly appreciated!

I hope Thursday sounds good! I understand your situation personally (I got COVID-19 during round 1 of the Coder King, and broke my pinky the week before 
), so it’d be wrong of me to deny an extension.
