Woah. Why have I not seen this?
Okay I axneed some help here guys. Since this game obviously needs more colors than Makecode provide, I’m going to switch between them when changing room. What I want is to fade to black at a door. Change the pallete and hen fade back. However I am not able to find out how to fade back with the new color palette. This isn’t straight forward since I am making my own color palette by setting the hex value of each color separately. I just realy need some help here. I am so stuck

yay! this is great!
Update V0.3
We now have more rooms to explore! I’ve added all the rooms leading up to the next save point, plus the candy room—though there’s no candy yet. I also tweaked the color palette to fit in more colors and implemented color transitions when entering doors.
I’ve been working on a little bit of everything in this update, adding details all over the place. My favorite addition right now is the story panels! I’ve drawn the first four and am currently working on the fifth. Honestly, they’re turning out surprisingly well.
The maps and details aren’t fully finished yet—there are some placeholder tiles for the leaves in the fifth room. There are two reasons for this:
- I’m a lazy bum.
- I’m running out of available tiles.
Yep, I’m right at the tile limit. The issue is that once you have more than 176 tiles, the tab switch arrow goes completely offscreen, making any additional tiles inaccessible. This is a MakeCode issue that should be fixed in the next update. (They aren’t actually added to the game yet).
Saving is now fully functional! Try it out yourself. When you reload after saving, you’ll spawn back where you left off. It also tracks your playtime, though you’ll need to check the console log to see it.
Here’s the update in all its glory:
This has been a blast to work on, so stay tuned for the next update!
