Video: Use outdated iPhone to code and download Jacdac to Microbit V2

We have purchased old iPhone 6 (s) for as little as $55 and used them in classroom as computers to write MakeCode and download to Microbit V2 with Jacdac extension even though the firmware on iPhone is out of date and cannot be updated above version 12.5.5 (Makecode calls for minimum v.13) Here’s how we do it.

Update on this, iPhone 6 cannot be loaded with firmware of iOS 13 so for coding on the screen it does not work well. I does work to install a program shared via QR code and then downloaded to Microbit via bluetooth if the Microbit is first ‘primed’ with the iOS pair .hex file via USB from computer.
