So why not we make the game together? Anybody who wants to join I have put a poll for what they want to do, and if this poll doesn’t have a voter until 1st January, I will drop the idea
Okay, so come on! @1978monkeynutze, @Feetscream67, and @Peau12, do your jobs, and I will do tilemap designing! Feel free to add in any suggestions at any time. And anybody else, if they want to join, please do!
The player is an astronaut who crash landed on an abandoned planet, only populated by weird creatures who are made out of metal. The player must defeat these enemies to gain metal scrap to repair their ship and upgrade weapons. Kinda basic but I think it’s a good start
I think that’s perfect for the story but its up to @RizeUpDev so yeah but good idea also I like your user name my dog used to be named jake and his nickname was Jake the snake but he died recently
@Jakethesnake23 I based the story of your idea. Anybody else want to comment ideas, they can!
The player is an astronaut who crashes on to an unknown planet. The ship is fully broken so the player has to find parts to repair it. The enemies are made of metal, and you start killing them. But you accidently try and destroy a boss. The boss keeps you hostage. The fortress they

keep you in is like a never-ending maze, but once you figure it out, you can escape. The maze will be filled with complex puzzles, which involves using your brain and interacting with your environment. After you’ve escaped, you have the chance to defeat the boss. After that, you get scrap metal which you can use to repair the ship. Then you hightail out of there.
Now the one thing I’m confused on is wether we keep it 1st person, or 3rd person.
The difference
In 1st person, we can show it COD style, with more details on the weapon. It does limit the use of art in making the character. Ray casting itself isn’t perfect anyways. Unless, if you want to do custom 3d rendering, then maybe it’s possible. It’s also one floor only.
In 3rd person, the game mechanics are easier. There can be way more floors. You can also focus on the art of the main character. But it doesn’t show us what we would see in real life (if real life was a Makecode Arcade game). You can’t show much details on the weapon too.
In short, both POVs are perfect, but not perfect at the same time. I will try and go for the 3rd person POV, as the mechanics are easier. And I hope somebody here is good at art.
Tilemaps
For 1st Person
For 1st person, let’s make a grafxkid tileset type tiles. Using the physics extension by MMM-tek, we should achieve slopes, instead of creating a custom function for it.
For 3rd Person
For 3rd person, I would suggest using the raycasting extension (tweaked) by neintos. This way, we can also achieve ceilings and floors for the fortress. We wouldn’t have to add jumping, and guns would have more detail.
umm I have a idea for some enemy sprites one of them could be called xylo-dar and it could be a alien that shoots slime balls at you (like its a slime thing) and for the bossfight it could be void kinda like a vortex alien that shoots void balls at you (balls that wipe you outa existence or just take lots of ur health u can pick) that’s my idea on enemys so um yeah
