🌊 Weekly Topic: Favorite Body of Water

Hello everyone! Welcome to the last week of August! I feel like this month blew past!!

This week’s topic is a bit random. What are people’s favorite bodies of water? It could be general, as in you like to visit any lake or ocean/beach. It can also be specific like your favorite water feature that you’ve ever seen is Niagara Falls. For the purpose of this post, body of water is any water that you can see out in nature.
This includes:

  • Rivers
  • Small streams
  • Babbling brooks
  • Lakes
  • Ponds
  • Seas
  • Oceans
  • Waterfalls
  • Bays
  • Gulfs
  • Fjords
  • Straits
  • Lagoons
  • Glaciers

Let’s chat about it!

i don’t have a favorite, unless normal drinkable water counts.

I really like it when I see water in a cup, that way I get to drink it

I love our Great Lakes. Lake Superior would be my favorite of the five, but they’re all incredible.

Tahquamenon Falls in the upper peninsula of Michigan is also a really cool area with a bunch of state parks and other features, although they’re nothing compared to the raw power of Niagara Falls.

As I am from Michigan, it’s also difficult to discuss the Great Lakes without mentioning The Mighty Mac – the Mackinac Bridge! At five miles long, it was the second-longest suspension bridge in the world when it was built (after the equally awe-inspiring Golden Gate Bridge), and it remains the 25th-longest suspension bridge today.

For me it’s a tie between waterfalls and lakes. Waterfalls because there’s something magical about them and lakes because, as @DangerNoodle said, they’re so calming!

I like rivers the most because some of there names are really fun to say like Colorado, Mississippi or Missouri

I like pirates so maybe the Caribbean? Waterfalls look cool but they’re kinda loud. When thinking of my favorite water, a fairytale glade comes to mind. With a small stream running through it and a little curved bridge in order to cross it.

Do birdbaths count? :bird:
I would also accept puddles that are perfect birdbath size :sparkles:
