Prime fed force is the only Metroid game I have played and it was so bad I decided not to play any more Metroid games

unfortunate. it’s the worst out of all of them. I assure you the other metroid games like Dread are nothing like prime fed force

isn’t MC dungeons a roguelite/like? Because floor progression and random gear pools?

Actually not really because when you die, you don’t restart at the beginning of the level. This is also a key feature of roguelikes.

But the Tower in MC dungeons is considered a roguelike element as it has floor progression, random gear pools, and death restarting.

risk of rain 2. w game

I like games that mercilessly kill you and make you restart constantly and have you inevitably realize that you’ll never really beat the game, but rather just be cycled into a loop, one controlled by the human nature that gets refreshed for every milestone it leaks onto the player in order to keep up and feed their playtime, and slowly feeding their dramatization over the story it presents to get the player more and more captivated into sinking more and more hours into it. A game that gets you to build a faith in developing all the secrets that the game hides, to worship the progress that you have sunk into the game. A game that after playing so long, no longer feels like a game, but rather a piece of a cult, that you and others have worked towards getting yourself more time and content to win, only to accomplish the top of goals…only to realize you were playing a game. But yeah, those kinds of games ya know?
