ANYBODY! IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS, BAD NEWS.
Unfortunately, due to some coding errors and problems, the progress on Zombies of God has been halted. Here at the Cat Active Team of Collaberative Operations, we are trying hard to resolve this issues and hopefully continue development. Until then, we will stop any progress on Zombies of God. Please understand.
Wow. This sounds so official…
We have different members to mandate different parts of the team. For example, I handle the online response and branding.
Woah wait seriously? There’s a team?
Yes! The InvalidProject you know is just one part of a whole team of aspiring friends working together to help code and inspire those around us!
You have a team? Me too! Me, myself, and my mom!..sounded better in my head not gonnna lie…
That’s… that’s mind-blowingly cool.
Tbh, not one else works with me. No one I know has even heard about MakeCode. I don’t think it gets enough attention. I try to show my games, but they basically look at the title screen and say “that’s cool” and walk off without even registering that there’s actually an insane looking game once you click the A button. I’ve even tried to show my siblings some of your games.
I showed them @AbstractDesigner’s Roller, but they didn’t even play it. I tried to play Virus because it’s easy but makes you look like a pro, but I died like dummy and they walked off.
I also let them try @PixelDoodle’s Pixel Smash, and they just saw the character select screen and thought the game was over.
I think people are underestimating MakeCode Arcade. Sorry to mention, but I think they’re seeing it as a ScratchJr copy (and yes I said ScratchJr, not just Scratch). I’m happy you have people who see how impressive MakeCode Arcade can get though
I try to make my games look really professional so that people see it they don’t immediately think “eh its just scratch” A really simple way to do this is just to use a custom colour palette (but it has to be a good one) Also try to make your own UI instead of taking the easy route with the Info tab, that helps distinguish your game. (I really should make another game design tip based on visuals lol)
