A community game that might actually work

I heard from a thread that all community games need to start with a base or people will start losing motivation

So, I made a base game here

That thread doesn’t have the latest version though, the latest version is below

The game includes

Achievements

3 Crafting Recipies

Mineshafts

Mushrooms, flowers, workbench, and stone tiles

Emerald and coal ore

6 Items

2 Music Tracks

Main menu with credits and update log

6 Animals

And some very rare animals including the jade rabbit

Bases for the future (What we have so far)

Tameable horses

Cave and Meadow Biomes

Animals

Crafting recipies

Mushrooms

Passive mobs

Toolbar

Plans for the future

Rideable horses

Way more biomes

Meat and fur from animals

The ability to craft basic wooden tools

Mushroom stew or other mushroom foods

Hostile mobs

Real inventory

Even a little thing helps the game.
One tile, one short music loop, one idea, you are still contributing.

I hope people will join this community game.
Thanks a lot!

Hey, I don’t think a community game like this will actually work, but I have an idea for something close that I will be implementing in my upcoming game, that might work better than all the things I have seen so far. I will be posting updates of my progress on the linked topic. Good luck though!

I cant wait to see stone and ores!

Normal 3.0 game which fixed a few stuff, including horse taming, and added a wooden pickaxe

3d Bitsurvival, almost unplayable

Also, is there a way to overlay sprites (such as the toolbar) on the screen without having them go off screen when the player reaches the edge of the map?

I added eggs…

wait what

I fixed a bug where you can’t play the game from the main menu if you pick default, and or i was gonna try to check the rest of the code for unnecessary blocks, but there’s to much code for that and its easter so Ima do that later.

you could make the sprites relative to the screen.

@Iro

Send a 16x16 character to be included

First time for me doing that!

I used the camera’s x and y variables in the scenes section. It’s very simple actually when you think about it.

Thank you! @top_hat_lord and @VoxelMaster64 That helped a lot! I made a new version using that with skins!

Items:
Egg (Chance to be layed by chicken)
Raw beef (Dropped from killing cows)
Wooden Pickaxe (Craft from 3 logs)
Renamed “Basic Dye“ to “Red Dye“

UI Improvements

Added smoother movement for the selector
Added a “hand“ in the bottom right corner which shows the item the player is holding

Thanks to @top_hat_lord the skins are here
and @VoxelMaster64 now the sprites are overlayed using the camera!
