[Announcement] MakeCode Arcade Mini Game Jam #33 - Big Jam!

Also Livestream is recorded, right?

Yes… (sentence)

MY submission! Kaiju Vs Mech! This is my first game jam so here it goes!

Is Pokémon day.
I probably won’t have a game ready in time for the stream, maybe next time.

I am back once again with some awesomeness for you! :scream:
I haven’t made a bossfight in a while, so here you go!
Instructions are in-game, keyboard and mouse only
(pronounced ven-dahl-ih-ruh, dahl as in hall, ih as in fit)
And yes, there is a secret way to tickle me in this game.

Also the game was so close to being unshareable, that’s why there isn’t an end cutscene

Bigness

The “Big” in this game is the giant snake you’re fighting :snake:

This second game is a game about fire, cuz fire is cool :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:
Btw, the parkour is a little difficult, and it works the same way as the parkour section in The Safe Cracker (so, basically, you can spam the jump button to climb certain walls).
Click the Help button below for help.

Bigness

The “Big” in this game is for big fire and big friendships.

Help with parkour and such

every red circle signifies something you can set on fire. the arrows help you with where to go. on the jump that’s from the hole in the wall to the light on the chain, you can press MENU to place/unplace invisible walls and make the jump infinitely easier.

Enjoy! :man_mage:

Greetings sir Richard the Makecode Arcade Pigeon lord, master of game jam announcements…

When’s the stream? I’ve looked at both YouTube and twitch for two days now and haven’t seen anything my good fellow. I would, therefore, wish to inquire if I was misinformed on the stream being Thursday or Friday.

Well good sir, the wall is big, but what’s actually big is the size differences! The missiles shot out in game are the average missile size and blast radius, and multiple enemies (the big one and the boss) are bigger than the blasts. So that means the robots themselves are defiantly also big. But it makes sense, you need a big drill for a big wall.

A working Rubik’s Cube in MakeCode Arcade! Scramble the cube with the button in the top left. To make turns on the cube (face or slice moves), use the mouse to drag from center or edge ‘stickers’ towards the direction you want to turn. To rotate the entire cube (XYZ moves), drag between the 4 quadrants of the screen.

Thank you for the clarification sir Richard!

Relative to the camera, there is lack of big.

Fair point…I’ll address that if I make a sequel. Probably add buildings for scale. However for this instance I think the size of the enemies says the idea enough. Thanks for the criticism!
