Change maximum compilation size based on hardware

Im a bit confused about this, because the max compilation size is 1.024 mb. Cant it change depending on the hardware you chose?

My hardware (xtron pro) has 16 mb of storage. I’d like to make a huge game so i figured it was perfect for that. But the max compilation size is 1mb. Im pretty sure the meowbit has 2mb of storage. But it still cant handle more than 1.024 mb.

Is there a reason for this? Are you able to change it without reworking the entire compilation program? Or is it just an oversight?

It would make alot of sense if the max compilation size was based on the hardware.
