Changing the image of a sprite rotated by the 'arcade sprite transforms' extension

Hi all,

I’ve been using the ‘arcade image transforms’ extension recently and one thing I’ve noticed is that when you attempt to change the image of a sprite it will change momentarily but the moment it is rotated again it will default back to the image assigned to the sprite at instantiation. (Demonstrated below in a gif)

Is anyone aware of a way around this without destroying the sprite and creating a new one with the new image?
