sorry @ Botwarrior that might have been my fault… I think it glitched because I hearted then unhearted because I realised the comment was a sad thing so it didn’t make sense to like it (not that it’s a bad comment, yk what I mean…)
That sounds really frustrating. Losing progress on top of a tricky bug is the worst. Maybe you could try debugging one small piece at a time or see if any backup versions exist? Even if this project is done, your ideas can totally be reused for the next one.
Well then how the heck are we suppose to invite this guy to a team that mostly doesn’t have forum accounts and also mainly hangs out in person giving them an email or chat or something is the only way to really communicate with them in a convenient manor with a team like this. Pls don’t just say something like “oh sorry not my problem blah blah” were looking for a solution not a dead end
I’m not saying “not my problem,” I’m saying that’s not allowed on this forum. Communicating in a private manner on this forum is fundamentally a problem with a dead end per the rules.
You can like posts by clicking the heart icon, here is a image to show you what to do.
Click the white heart icon and now it is red, congrats, you did start already understanding how to use some community functions already. Also, if you want to make topics, click the home button or if you are already there, then just click new topic, here is the image you do to make a new topic.
Click the button then you will see something pop up and firstly write a title for your topic on the top, then click the category so you choose what category your topic belongs. If you want to see more, scroll down, and lastly if you wonder what optional tags do, it tells that the topic is about game, extensions, art, make, or graphics and math, after that in the prompt is where you tell what is the topic about and after that, then click Create Topic, here is the button for It.
That is it for now, congrats hope it helps a little bit.
I am not new to makecode, I tried everything. I had to restart my computer due to some lag, it wasn’t functioning normally. When I came back, my project got duplicated 3 times, and all of the copies did not have the old version history or code. At this point I have had so many errors that even version history could not fix. The latest version of makecode has made makecode better, but also glitchy.
I’m so sorry to hear that. Losing your work like that is one of the most frustrating things that can happen. It’s completely understandable why you’d be so upset. Don’t let it get you down, though. All the knowledge you gained while working on it is still there, and that’s the most important part. You’ll be able to use it to create something even better next time.
Bro were not trying to communicate privately specifically on the forums we just need a way to link him to a chat/email so the team can comminicate much better then on the forums were we have to wait 3 days at the most just to get one post through. Danny also said, not everyone on the team has forum accounts or is willing to use the forums. I’m trying to make this work and the team mostly hangs out in person so we need a way to do stuff similar in the way we currently are without having to go through the forum stuff
