RIDDLE PACK #5
Another Thursday, another week passed since I last posted a previous pack of riddles/brainteasers for the MakeCode community to solve.
In this pack specifically, you’ll find that all 3 riddles are the classic “What Am I” riddles that I typically post once per week. Usually, these types of riddles are amongst some of my best ones, so I figured why not specialize this time? Although next week, I might try different types.
The formatting for these riddle packs stays the same, from easiest to hardest. I also included the hints that may assist those who are struggling on any particular riddle. Good luck to y’all.

Riddle #1: Your Honourable, Obedient Servant
Difficulty: EASY (1/5)
The Riddle Itself
I am malevolent when mishandled.
Very useful when handled.
I demand offerings to keep me on guard.
I keep my masters unmaulable.
What Am I?

Hint: You all have been utilizing my existence since prehistory.
Answer To Riddle #1
A: The answer is a Fire. Fires could be extremely destructive if humans fail to contain or use them properly; sometimes campfires can lead to massive wildfires that could endanger multiple lives (e.g., burning down homes). Yet they have useful applications as well, like cooking food, or often protecting the fire-setter from wild animals mauling them like Wolves. Also, to set a fire and keep it lit, you usually need to bring in flammable objects (e.g., wood, paper) into the mix, which is what is meant by “offerings”.

Riddle #2: The Sprinter After The Grand Shake
Difficulty: MEDIUM (2.5/5)
The Riddle Itself
First, a neighborhood shakes and rumbles.
Then I do a sprint as fast as I possibly can. But my fury is not noticeable yet.
But then, I go up, up, and up. My fury is now very noticeable.
And then I consume all.
What am I?

Hint: I am a mere fraction of the massive ocean.
Answer To Riddle #2
A: The answer is a Tsunami. A common cause of this natural disaster is an earthquake occurring, which is what was meant by “shakes and rumbles”. When a tsunami starts, the waves begin travelling at incredible speeds; however, they are typically very small when this happens. Eventually, the waves will slow down, and this causes all the water to build up and makes the wave increase in massive heights, which is very fearful. When the tsunami eventually slams down on the shore/land, there will usually be so much water flying and being released to the point where there is a great amount of flooding across the area.

Across the long passage of time sits a massive jigsaw puzzle, mysteries to be pieced.
I myself am only a small piece of the entire jigsaw puzzle, yet a giant piece as well.
Discovering me is an excitement to the very few seekers, an opposite to the rest.
To be fair, I am a strange fit indeed; after all, my own properties bend the borders.
On me are millions of tears scattering at once, with heavy dark smoke in the air.
What Am I?

Hint: Several world nations are remorphed because of this very jigsaw puzzle piece.
Answer To Riddle #3
A: The Answer is a War. Truth be told, a single war is only a small piece of humanity’s entire existence (the long passage of time); most wars don’t last up to a decade, and humans have been living for over 300,000 years, which is what I meant by “a small piece of the entire puzzle.” People always have mixed feelings when a war comes in front of them; a minority get excited and join the draft/army (e.g., Hamilton in the Revolutionary War), trying to seek honor or glory, and the rest of the people are the ones who constantly protest about it all.
Even if war is a small piece of the entire fabric of history, it is still a high-impact event, with massive amounts of bloodshed and loss involved for almost everyone involved. Read up on WWI statistics if you will. War often includes millions of injuries, casualties, or anything that ruins lives (tears emphasizing the horrific settings + aftermath), and dark smoke can come from explosions on the battlefield. The territories and power (borders, kind of literally referring to a country’s land’s edges and overall area/size) of nations are also impacted in the process of war, whether for the better or for the worse.

Kinda random but has anyone else noticed that in certain text boxes Hebrew is written in Reverse or gets formatted weird?
I also found out Persian just doesn’t exist in Makecode.

My first thought here is cosmic background radiation/the big bang. I have literally no other ideas and the hint didn’t really confirm or deny this idea. Maybe it’s the concept of religion?
Ok this answer doesn’t make the most sense with the lines besides the millions of tears and reshaping countries bits, but that’s alright, not every riddle has to be the best ever. Maybe running these by other people before sharing them would help? Anyways keep it up! These are really fun!
