Sooo… Better explain the hiatus first
HOLY, ok, so clearly the “few days“ was an understatement on my part. Sorry about that delay/hiatus in my posts; life has gotten a little too busy (mostly college applications and test stress), so much so that I ended up forgetting to post the finale post on the topic for a while. But now… I can finally get to work as the host of the 3+ years-long CK series.
=====================================================================
With all that being said, though, my peeps. It is now the grand exalted hour, the hour in which everything begins, the hour of the:
CK5 GRAND FINALE ![]()
Host’s comments
Whooo! Cannot believe that I reached this point finally. It sure has been a long journey since August of 2022, in which I posted the original CK1 topic. Over 3 years have passed since I announced that inaugural competition, and I’m at the 5th competition in the series now. Also, the last, it does feel a little solemn in here, saying goodbye to the very series that made up over 90% of my identity on the forums, but I also came to terms with it a long time ago (more in depth here: CODER KING 5: End of an era - #54 by Taser ).

Now, let’s get down to business.
Sooo… I mentioned this in a previous post, in which the finale theme for CK5 is the same as the finale themes for the previous 4 competitions, thus. Welp, tradition is peakness. There is no zero binding theme for this round! Sky’s the limit here! You can choose to make a game out of whatever theme and concept you would like to do with your masterpieces
AKA, GRAND FINALE THEME: WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO, NO RESTRICTIONS AT ALL, COMPLETE FREEDOM
=====================================================================
Now, for the past 4 CK finales, I ended up giving contestants a ton of time to make their games, and there should be zero difference on this point. Thus, I shall give y’all all the way till 12/15/2025 11:59 PM EST (almost Christmas time, yay )
=====================================================================
Also, in case y’all are wondering how I shall make judgment on who wins, I’ll use that 100-point criteria for reviewing games as usual, to help deal with biases and lack of sample size. There will be a community poll with all the submissions inside once the deadline passes; basically, one vote = 10 extra points for the contestants. Whoever scores the most points wins.
=====================================================================
Yapping is done for the most part now. Now, to state the obvious and let the nerd emojis rain on me. A whole lotta stuff on the line here. Here, in this very year, the 5th and final CODER KING (or queen) shall be crowned.
Now… Let the conclusion commence… and… oops. can’t forget my traditional one-liner!
Ok, let’s try again…
May The Best Coder Win!
