i freaked out when i saw you posted here
Welp, the time is now. Iām officially retiring from the makecode engine and postponing all of my current projects until further notice.
Makecode has taught me how to work with limitations quite well, and I have learned more code here than Iād ever learn in Scratch. But I feel like Iām ready to move on to the mainstream game engines now, such as Unity or Gamemaker (Iāve made games in both, theyāre pretty sick ngl), as the nature of Arcade isnāt allowing me to create the big expansive games Iād like to make.
That being said, Iāll still make music up for anyoneās use and hang around the forums every now and then, as it would be too tragic for me to simply move on.
Thank you to everyone for supporting my journey here at the forums, and Iām excited to see what awesome creations you make in this silly little game engine!
""
(Why did I make this so dramatic)
AlexK: āam i a joke to youā
Itās quite sad that you wonāt help us make silly little (And cool) games anymore but just know that you are always welcome here and thank you for being part of this community! I wish you the best.
goodbye best username
chureki was better gang
Youāve probably noticed that Iāve been posting less on the forums.
Donāt worry, Iām not leaving, I just donāt post a lot because most of the time there isnāt anything to say. Just wanted to let yāall know
Also #1 in the game jam is crazy ![]()
Almost gave me a heart attack ![]()
Congrats on the game jam too!
Fight me
Hey everyone. Real quick before you read this message, no, Iām not leaving. But itās becoming increasingly obvious how little I post here. Everyday, I read the forums, but less and less I code. Itās not anybodyās fault but my own. My spark for coding has died downāBut Iām not gonna let that stop me from doing what I love. I love making music on here, I still want to make amazing games on here too. Iāve started to take art commissions, and pursue things out of Makecode, but this place will always be my home. I will be finishing Hebes: Re-Monochromatic, and while I donāt know what will come after, Iāll definitely retire for sure, but I wonāt leave this place. Retiring for meā¦is just being slower than I already am.
Realest thing Iāve seen today.
Hold up⦠I just realized I joined before you. Darn I thought your account was older than mine.
We talked about this in April.
Yeah you joined before me.
Farewell.
So I might have carpal tunnel. I am having a burning/tingling feeling in my left hand with that "pins and needles sensation, I am struggling to pick stuff up and Iām struggling to type right now
for those who donāt know what carpal tunnel is its a syndrome where your nerve gets all compressed causing numbness in some fingers
So how did I get it. I was doing a state test and they are insane about ātest securityā they would probably call this āa necessary cost for test securityā, but after were done with the tests we are not allowed to go on our computers so I decided to sleep, so I slept for around an hour and I used my arm as a pillow, when I woke up that had caused me to get Carpal Tunnel
this might be goodbye
Hey, everybody. If anyoneās been keeping track, Iāve only been posting daily(enough) in Chatting Area!, and I think that itās time to move on. I love the community, the mods, the creatives, the whole kit and caboodle, but I want to move to a different platform and code for a different platform. Iāll still be active (somewhat) here, but itāll be infrequent, as Iāll be learning 2 coding languages. Have a fantastic day, code to your best ability, always revise when necessary, and Iāll head out.
ok im becoming a doctor so be ready
What most likely happened is you hurt a nerve in your hand and or broke a nerve,
your hand could also be stressed out and tired, if it keeps hurting after 3 days or more tell me and ill think more
nvm its gone
Weāll miss having you here, I appreciated seeing your posts in the chatting area, but Itās exiting that youāre learning new languages!! Great luck in your future programming : - )
The languages in question are C and M68000 assembly for Amiga, or, in other words, absolute and complete tomfoolery.
