I am taking the result from the five second game jam redux and improving it. I have not done much yet but so far I have made the timer more compact and removed “Don’t give up” from the level list.

Hey! I made the “Don’t give up” level, and I thought it was good…
Sorry. It is just that it was very difficult so I removed it. Also it had this bug where an enemy would spawn right on top of you and immediately kill you. I can tweak it a bit and put it in again if you would like.
It was only 5 seconds, so I wanted it to be really hard…
It’s definitely possible, I made sure, so please put it in!
I just don’t get it, there were other hard ones, but you specifically took mine out. That’s not very nice…
This really, really isn’t fair. Just because it’s challenging doesn’t mean you should remove it! Also, the landing on top of you thing is not a bug! It has a sense of luck to it too!
Ugh! This is actually SO uncool! My game was fun, I worked hard on making it challenging! It was fun… right? Was my game really the weakest link…?
Thanks!
Hey there, I saw there was a bit of a dispute here so I wanted to come and give my stance on this.
So, to try and understand @thegreatone’s POV, he stated that he removed the game for being hard. While yes, there were games that were also hard included in the compilation, I’d reckon you made yours just a little too hard for his liking. Now obviously, there’s nothing wrong with a difficult game, but sometimes you want to just have some fun and not think too much. When there’s a skill level needed to play, that kind of gets taken away, and I suppose that’s why he removed your game in his version.
Now, one criticism I’d like to add about your game is how sometimes, things can get a bit unfair
For example, a skeleton spawns on top of you and kills you, ending your run instantly, which can make the game feel RNG based and infuriating for a lot of players.
If you want to try and make the game more accessible/easier so more people can play it, and so it gets included in this compilation, for example (that’s not guaranteed though, it’s up to thegreatone), I suggest you try and code it so the skeletons avoid spawning on/near the player.
Btw, I know you’re unhappy with the fact your game was taken out, but you don’t have to post so many replies… It only clutters the forum, when you could have written it all out in one reply
Anyway, I hope this helps you understand how to improve your game, and I wish you luck with work on it!

…?
Uhhhhhh, now you’ve left me with no other choice but to agree! This is what happens whenever someone writes one big block of intelligent stuff.
Ok… maybe I did make the game a teensy bit too hard… but I had a good reason for it! It’s literally five seconds long. And I wanted my game to be memorable.
And, maybe I did post one too many replies… but I was back from a blood transfusion (click if you don’t have hemophobia (fear of blood) and I was all Grumpy McGrumps, you know? (Yeah, that was totally on me, sorry lol)
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ok I’m bored now. So, conclusion time.
