First, @randomuser is a she. Second, I forgot to put Italian in the topic name. HOI MODS make my topic name “GoObErsandwichdude64’s Italian Presidential Office”
Hi, I don’t want to start and arguments or hate I just want to share my opinion about this topic.
Firstly if your goal is to make games and talk about them in a topic, go for it!
This has been done before and it’s almost always fine!
Second I believe the goal of the president was to be somewhat of representative for MakeCode and a position to progress MakeCode by bringing new members and creating projects to share the potential of the software.
Lastly the President was elected because the representative of the community with the community given title is a great honor with big expectations. My main concern is new users would come to the forums and see this topic thinking that all of MakeCodes ideals align with everything said here.
I don’t think having more than one president or representative is a bad idea, in fact I would love multiple people doing great work, but I believe the community should be able to decide who gets that title and honor.
I suggest you make a poll or something of that nature to ask the community what they think.
You could give them these options:
Make Goober a second president.
Give Goober a separate title with similar responsibilities.
Have Goober remain as a regular user for the time being.
Yeah, that’s my opinion on all of this. If you want to be a second president people would probably be more willing to vote for you if you demonstrate some plans to further help the community.
