Jail break 3d

A while ag I found out about “3d” makecode games with the raycasting extension and thought I’d give it a try, so I made JAIL BREAK 3D to try it out. There’s five levels (though the first one is pretty easy once you figure it out). Your goal is to escape from prison, fight the guards off with rocks, dodge bullets, navigate mazes, all while trying not to get dizzy from the terrible raycasting graphics. Basic arrow keys to move, a to thorw a rock, b doesn’t do anything. Hope you like it!

A little hint for level one:

You have to do a button combo to break the grate.

PS: Please don’t post what the passwrod is at level 5.

Cool game!!! I love how you made the 3d aspect look good, because most 3d shooters don’t have that level of artwork! Great job, hope to see more levels in the future…

Hello, Great game. I have a suggestion you should use this modified version of raycasting : https://github.com/The-Code-Zone/pxt-raycasting It adds floor and ceiling support. If you don’t it will still be a great game. :smiley:

Thanks! More levels are on the way! I’m thinking of a carchase, evading sniffing dogs in the forest, and choosing the right disguise to then rob a bank!

Honestly their basically done right now, but I could potentialy use help in the future for even more levels! And thanks for the suggestion about the extension! I did’t end up using it yet but maybe in the future or for another game!

Okay. I’ve been working on the new levels and there’s a few bugs that i could use some help with. First, during the car chase there’s still a part of the menu from when you guessed the password, also, when you get into the safe house in the woods, the game freezes and the you get captured. There might be bugs in the bank robbery but I haven’t been able to test that yet due to always dying in the dog chase. I have modified it so you skip right to the warden fight just for efficiency but am planning on changing it back later. Does anyone have any idea how to fix these bugs?

I do not know of a way to remove the menu UI and sadly don’t know how to fix the others. Sorry @LildubK9

Okay I this might get approved before my other pending post and if it does, long story short I am trying to make a few platformer levels and have Kinda figured it out. Basically its a platformer where you’re facing upwards and have to change direction to land. It does kinda work like a plat former but like if you’r climbing up a tower. And I will add obstacles if I put it in jail break 3d, but this was just a test. I just wanted to know if you guys would be good with this getting added to the game.

PS: Even if you aren’t I might still add it.

Okay. Apparently the solution to the problem was to make the safehouse a sprite instead of a tile (which looks better anyways). The menu UI is still there but it doesn’t cause any problems. Although if you get caught by the police dogs, sometimes it does capture you and sometimes it doesn’t. I haven’t tested the entire thing yet but the new levels are working. Please let me know if there are any more bugs. Hope you like it! There Is going to be at least one more level released soon. Multiple if i can figure out a 3d platformer. Also, little teaser to the next level at the bottom.

It involve attacking a police convoy to rescue your best friend from jail. Should be out in a couple of days!

little update on the new levels: There is a single new level where you have to stop a police car with your friend in it from reaching the jail. Also a few fixes here and there. The next couple levels are going to revolve around an art heist and they should be done later today or possibly tomorrow. Enjoy!

Cool game, I always liked the premise of having to escape some sort of facility in a 3D environment. I could compose some better music for the game, if you want

Sure! That was just music from the gallery sped up so there’s definitely room for improvement! :joy:

LAST UPDATE FOR TODAY: (hope this actually gets approved today or else that would be embarrassing) The art heist levels are out and are hopefully bug-free. There’s still my annoying music (shout out to @Danny_Devention for wanting to help with that) so I’d recommend playing on mute. Hope you like it!
