Makecode arcade controls reversed

Just downloaded a game from Makecode Arcade into the new Kittenbot Newbit Arcade and the whole game is inverted horizontally (like looking at a mirror image… even the words!) Pushing the left button makes the sprite move right and vice versa. The game moves towards the left also.

I tried to code my own game and I get the same results. My Microbit V2 is also brand new. I plugged my Microbit with downloaded game another new Kittenbot Arcade console and the same thing happens.

Any ideas what is going wrong? I see other people using the console just fine on Youtube and Amazon reviews don’t mention this problem. Help please! I really want to play my game.

There’s an extension, called display-shield in https://makecode.microbit.org/beta (so not arcade) that you can use to program (drawing and reading controls), and that has flip screen horizontal and vertical, so it looks like it’s a feature for whatever reasons.

this was a bug caused by the recent update to makecode arcade! we have pushed a fix and it should now be live. let us know if you keep having the issue!
