Minecraft MakeCode Edition — 2D Procedural Survival on Arcade Hardware!

From Bloralis Studio.

I just released v1.6 of Minecraft MakeCode Edition, a 2D side-scrolling survival sandbox built from scratch for MakeCode Arcade and compatible hardware (Meowbit, GameGo, PyBadge, micro:bit shields, and more)!

Running a fully procedural sandbox on a processor roughly 6,400x slower than a modern PC and under a strict 512 KB Flash cap was a huge optimization challenge, but v1.6 is completely stable!

Key Features:

  • 80 × 35 Procedural World : Generates terrain, trees, caves, ores, ocean pockets, and lava pits (spans 8 full screen widths).

  • World Seeds : Random seed generator (up to 1000 different seeds).

  • Full Survival Mechanics : Inventory with infinite stackable items, sand gravity, and lava/water limited fluid physics.

  • Crafting & Smelting : Interactive Crafting Table and Furnace menus accessed via the Menu button.

  • Controls : D-Pad/Joystick for movement and cursor targeting, A to mine/place, B for inventory, Menu for crafting/smelting.

:package: Play & Download:

Feedback and bug reports are welcome!

I love block coding and done lots of scratch/turbowarp before, so it helped a lot !
