@bsiever , I see that with Jacdac environment we can control servos with simulator slider and no code. Have you heard, or do you think it is possible to link one computer to another with multiplayer and Arcade Jacdac so remote control of motors is possible ? I will put a video link up here when it is uploaded. Thx.
@frank_schmidt I want to make sure I understand the question.
You mean “multiplayer”, as in two people simultaneously playing against each other, right? If so, is the question: Can we use Jacdac to network together computers so the people at each can play one-another (simultaneously)? (I’m guessing Jacdac can’t do that now and with the multiplayer environment it probably isn’t necessary)
Or maybe you’re just asking if Jacdac can be used as controllers to interact with existing multiplayer games? I don’t know the answer for suer, but I would guess yes. (I haven’t done much with Jacdac and Arcade)
If neither of those are what you had in mind, let me know.
In the attached video I’m displaying the use of the Jacdac environment with motors by using the icons of motors in simulator on a touch screen laptop. I’m wondering if there is a way to add multiplayer linkage between two laptops using MakeCode Arcade, somehow integrated into Jacdac environment so that one person controlling the simulated slider on one laptop can move the simulated slider on another person’s laptop screen when they are both in the Jacdac system ? It seems to me that our kids in class were using multiplayer to control sprites on each others’ computers. Thanks,
@bsiever : I have shown that we can load Jacdac code onto a MakeCode Arcade board here , so we might be able to connect two such boards and use multiplayer to drive motors from one arcade controller to another ?
