Need of assistance on upcoming last (probably) Mario game

I’m just going to get to the gist, in my upcoming probably last Mario game, I’m trying remake Super Mario Maker. Adding blocks work, but for only the ground and not the ? blocks. And one last thing is that when you get out of the maker mode (when you’re adding things to the level) Mario’s animations become bugged and he looks like the ground for some reason. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Oh yeah I forgot to say this but press menu to go into maker mode, and menu + b to get out of maker mode, although, getting out of maker mode is buggy.
Here’s the updated version. Fire Mario is buggy, has no animations, cannot jump or shoot fireballs, and if you get one with Super Mario you restart the level.

Don’t do any of this jazz with if statements and on a pressed when using character animations. All you need to do is put them on start!

Okay, so I added animations for Fire Mario and the fireballs, but for some reason the fireballs just disappear when touching the ground. And when I tried to make the fireball bounce off the ground, the game crashed. I even tried to make the fireballs a ghost through walls, and bounce off of the ground tiles, but the game crashed again. I’ve seen someone with their own Mario game do it, but I don’t know how they did. Again, thanks if anyone helps!
