@pecan4 lost his passcode for the forums and their Github check the update doc
currently, we don’t have one base version. @Luke and @InvalidProject should use luke’s existing version for the art, and pecan (when/if he returns), @CopySprite and me (i guess) should use copysprite’s version for coding and we can copy/paste code at the end.
oh btw make sure to use the platformer extension, there’s a lot of cool stuff there like wall jumping, coyote time, gravity etc just very convenient

Hey, me again. I’m DONE with school! for the next 3 months (summer vacation, yay). That means that I’m in full focus for this game, so I’ve got some questions/comments/concerns

What happens when you die (in the game)? there has to be some sort of life meter, but what happens when it runs out. Are you double dead?

Could you guys brainstorm some more enemies (not bosses)? So far there’s only 3(?) enemies that I know of; The possessed player, Jumpy bug and spiky slug. That’s kind of a bland variety of enemies for a game, so if you guys could think up some more that would be cool. O̶h̶ s̶h̶o̶o̶t̶, i̶’m̶ o̶n̶ t̶h̶e̶ i̶d̶e̶a̶’s̶ t̶e̶a̶m̶!̶ I’ll brainstorm some enemy’s too

concept art would be amazing and super helpful, but first we should figure out how many areas/levels there are, as well as a general theme for each area so that the enemies/sprites/tiles have consistency. This also makes designing these elements easier.
I think that the insect/green enemies could work well for the current area I’m working on:
However, the possessed player enemy probs works better for the lower levels (mebbe a shadowy, darker floor)
I was thinking that the hell is a sort of layered structure, dante-style.
when you “die” you evaporate and re-form in your designated afterlife spot.
I was thinking a stealth/metroidvania (if that makes sense), sneak past the enemies or charge through them, with roguelike elements

there are 4-5 areas: a grassy area (hell plains) the collumny area (ruins), a cave area (caverns), one more (maybe) and a nightmare shadow pit (Depths of Hell), in order of progression.
