Hi!
I semi-recently saw a post created by @richard about @danger_kitty’s outstanding game jam entry. I promptly played his game and thought it was so Awesome. Then using Richard’s portal engine (which I have slightly modified) I created a game! I think it is the best make code game I have ever made. This game is a puzzle/platformer game. The game has 20 levels and I put a lot of work into it so please go play it. Below is the link.
Controls
WASD/arrow keys -Move and jump
B - Skip text
The rest of the controls are explained in game.
I’m glad you have played this far into my game, thanks!
As this is a later level, the solution is complex
Place a portal on the wall behind the turrets, link it to a portal on the floor.
Run into and touch a turret to kill it, kill the three turret at the bottom of the room. They can only see and shoot you if their red eye is facing you.
Activate Anti-gravity with the pedestal button (white pillar with red dot)
Use what you have learned about Anti-gravity to navigate up the chamber with the storage cube
Press the second pedestal button to disable anti-gravity
Bring yourself and the cube up the ladder.
You can drop a cube on a turret to kill it, drop this cube through the laser, neutralizing the threat.
Your portal gun’s bullets move faster than the turret’s physical bullets so you can run across the floor button that opens the door and shoot a portal bullet through the door and onto the moonstone (white tile) surface behind the turret before it can shoot you.
Link your portal on the other side of the door to a portal that you can drop the cube through at high speeds. Do this to transfer the cube through your portal gateways and the cube will hit the finial turret killing it.
Travel into the room behind the door via portals, be sure not to be burned by the laser upon coming out.
Jump and place your finial portal above the door on the white surface. Now enter the room and climb the ladder to eat your cake free of the danger of a turret.
I hope this is helpful. Be prepared for the next level though, its the hardest puzzle in the game. I won’t help much, as the solution is really satisfying but your clue for the next puzzle is “portal to nowhere”
Okay now i’m finally at the part where i must confront GLaDOS how am i supposed to use the blocks after he sends out all the neurotoxins in the prequel?
I assume the blocks you are referring to are the personality cores. You can pick them while pressing “down arrow” and overlapping. These can be burned in hole. You can force GLaDOS dispense a personality core by hitting them with their own rockets launched by the large turret. Once hit, GLaDOS will drop a core somewhere on the tile-map. GLaDOS will eventually destroy one of the red buttons with a laser in which point you will have to use the other harder to reach button. GLaDOS will spawn the red anger core midair where you will need to press down while falling to pick it up. Unfortunately I made that boss fight way too hard, the game ends after that so don’t feel too pressured to beat it. But if you do—consider it a triumph.
Hi, I was just wondering–would people like more portal levels? I’ve already made a 40 of them, how about another 20? Who would like another portal sequel?
No, you have already made a lot of 2d-Portal games. Good Job but the genera is stale
I thought people might get bored of the same type of game but I’m glad they are not. The third installment will receive a major graphics update in relation to the previous games and brand new testing elements never before seen in Makecode (High Energy Pellet). And of course, all original puzzles + story. I’ll probably finish it late December.
