I was thinking of creating a holiday light display for my makerspace and controlling it with the Microbit.
I plan to have five 5mm red LEDs connected to Pin 0 and five 5mm yellow LEDs connected to Pin 1. I want to use the light sensor on the Micro:bit to turn on the lights when it is below a certain light level. I have tested this on a breadboard and it works. For each of the LEDs I have used a 47ohm resistor.
My question is if I want to use this in my window…the furthest LED from the Micro:bit will be approximately 12feet. Will this impact resistance in the circuit? Has anyone tried something like this? What do I need to consider?
