Can it be “fake” 3D? Like an illusion or does it actually have to be like an actual 3D engine

Makecode Arcade is as far as I know a 2D engine, and it must be made in MakeCode Arcade. So the illusion it is. Try to make something like the raycasting extension perhaps.

What I meant by “real 3d” was the actual raycasting extension or something like that, and by and illusion I meant by simply doing something like scaling sprites to make it feel like there’s depth. For example this simple 3D thing I made:

as long as the game/simulation doesnt use the available raycasting engine available on make code its valid this could be an animation like what voxil master made of an actual 2d lidar style engine that can do anything this challenge is about creating your own 3d art/ engine it is a big challenge but is very possible and i encourage everyone to try have fun and be as creative as you want the best game 1st second and third will be nominated along with an honorable mention if you have any other questions i will be here to answer them and remember to be as broad as you want! and have fun!

also to yam jam that is exactly what we are looking for! kind of like how the creators of doom and wolfenstein made their own engins
