Should Generative AI be allowed for Topic writing and for comments? And even... Games?

I saw this topic by the user named @JoeyDaCoder , and I’m suspicious his giant idea for a game was AI generated, I’m not sure if he/she/they came up with the idea, and just told an AI to generate the rest, OR he/she/they asked AI to come up for an idea for a game (or even just ask the AI to make the whole game). I hope the last sentence isn’t true because it would hurt to start seeing games that have no human creativity and came from the mind of a soulless robot.

I want to hear from yall, should this be allowed?

Like i said iny post i did infact make the didcription with si because i wanted to explain sll my games cdpabilities but did not want to write paragraphs explaining it myself that i feel is the only justsfusble time to use ai i did not however use si to create the code or ideas ai has never touched my code

I don’t think AI should be used to MAKE your entire game, but I think using AI for storing ideas and asking for feedback is okay if it’s a one-person team.

But yeah, I do agree that if you use AI to make your entire game, it’s not okay.

I dislike AI but I think we should all view AI with a positive mindset.

Yes, with disclosure. I specifically will point towards @UnsignedArduino’s AI use disclosures as a good example:

Though I won’t say people need to be as verbose as he is here, this section, I think, is a good example of what such a disclosure should look like:

AI (mostly Claude) usage in this project includes:

• Drafting and reviewing API design specs and decisions.
• AI implementing code for boring or “less important” parts.
• Spelling out the structure and providing hints as I manually code the critical parts of this extension, including the renderer.
• Reviewing code.
• Researching and testing code, especially to optimize performance in the simulator.

I’d say the work between me and AI is approximately 50/50.

Specifically AI coding your games. I personally use it to learn great tool helped me learn classes and using stuff like “variables_get”.
