Cool. BTW, send the code with the new palette. Doesn’t have to have sprites, just the new palette.
Oh, and, if you guys got anyone to help with certain things, ping 'em and add them here.
bc the more the faster and better. Remember, many hands make light work.
Where’s the audio code @Brohann? I think Nerdiest is working hard to pull off graphics, and I’d like some added code for some fresh, fire beats
oh yeah i kinda forgot but i do have green hill zone
Pretty cool. Next up, can you do Sky base or Jungle? It’s be really good. Oh, and implement it into the code I sent out.
may I ask why you are trying to convert the c64 version and the SMS one?
@Nerdiest feel like including a nice little 3d graphic sequence? Like, a really short one, around 30-60 seconds of an easter egg, of a 3d sonic and chaos emeralds spinning around him, activated by getting all the emeralds and getting all rings, and not dying.
I swapped to C64, as I realized it would be more feasible, albeit the colors needed to be swapped, said best by Nerdiest as his new palette is “less… green”
@Brohann @Nerdiest where are my game assets? Nerdiest, albeit an estimate, said hed be done by thursday, and its been a week from his estimate! @Brohann can you please add the music you’ve got to the engine? Thanks. I can’t work with nothing when I can’t play it with Sonic or the fresh beats of Sky Base.
So sorry for missing the deadline I myeslef put in place, between stuff at school, sports and ROTC stuff I’ve been pretty busy, art should be out by tonight (running walking, jump, title screen (hopefully) and wall jump sprites due to the code having wall jump physics although im pretty sure the 8 bit games didnt have wall jump)
As for @Brohann, I think he abandoned, so can you recommend good musicians for this?
Cool. I’ll code the stuff like flags when things happen, and everything’ll work out!
im still doing this, I just think you need to be doing some of the work instead of just bossing everyone around
I gotta have the assets for lives, the goalpost, checkpoints, etc. to code the flags and the score mechanics. I’m sorry, I gotta have the graphics beforehand to get working on the game for the flags and certain things.
I agree @Astronomically22 Im currently working on not one but two projects (both of which are collabs) and im also navigating through some tough stuff at school so if you dont mind imma finish up the bear minimum of sonics sprites and then if im still needed work on them on the side
I’ve been able to port sonic GG to the GBC, it is definitely possible to do it in makecode without an ugly 80s computer pallette
I actually own sonic 1 for the game gear and play it every so often, and I don’t think we need to compress down the palette for anything. As for the graphics, there are many image-to-makecode-arcade converters out there that can make this much faster. I just think this collab got set off on the wrong foot
I’ve got a project too, outside of makecode, it’s remixing music to fit the sega genesis soundchip’s sounds. I just got my PSG Module for it made, and I’m about to start on it.
