is this supposed to happen?
Yeah… no,
I’m aware you can press the button more than once. I’ll fix it in the full version, but for now: Cuz time travel!
This is sick!
This is absolutely badass! One of the best Makecode games I played to date!
@Bifrosty By Far this game is my fav and this is a really cool level however, this level is a little buggy as i can somehow get trapped in the portals and never get out. Love the game however, and i do know that this is a game in progress! Can wait to see more of these portal games potentially or any games you make in the future! You make amazing games and are the most consistant (In my opinion) At makes awesome games! Awesome job on this so far!
Speaking of this level, how do you even beat it!
Bunch of Portal Swapping and with pretty fast portal placement (I don’t have a Mouse so it’s a little harder)
That’s a new one, did you do anything specific to trigger it?
YA DON’T, SONNY!!! /j
Jumped into the portal but it didn’t push me through, it kind of glitched me back and forth through the portal and i got trapped in the portals
lol. The next two after that will be even more fun. That’s the warm up.
@Bifrosty you should have told us that pressing menu restarts the game!!!
Oh sorry, realized I didn’t do that here. ![]()
That’s a thing for all my games.
I suggest using this extension
because you could add the reset button on the menu screen.
And @Bifrosty, how can you are able to get on top of the block (the block you carry around), because when I am doing it in my code, there is always a visible overlap with the block and the player. I am trying to use it for BlastOut Sequel.
THAT WAS SO FUN!!!
I loved every puzzle, and the lore is great too! (Yes of course I read the computer logs!)
Portal 2 is actually my favorite game, and I think this takes the cake as my favorite MakeCode game! I really hope you continue this in the future! <3
That cake must have some serious preservatives…
I’m glad! I thought I might have hid the logs too deeply. Don’t ask what goes into a good cake.
Sprite kindarray is an array of all cubes, mysprite is the player’s hitbox. This is being called in an on game update function:
They are actually overlapping, but not visually. The player animations are separate from the player’s actual sprite. I keep the player’s velocity at -193 because that is the value that stunts vertical movement with the specific gravity code I have applied, it took some messing around to find this number. In retrospect, this part of the code could probably be handled better.
(Minor spoilers for portal 2 incase you haven’t played)
You know how the personality cores have lines they say while you use them? (Trying to avoid major spoilers!) Well one of them actually repeats the recipe for a Black Forest cake! So we do actually know what goes into them! Here’s a video of the full dialogue:
