On that note, I probably won’t be running for MakeCode President anytime soon. Maybe I could’ve done it a few years before (probably would have lost to @randomuser tho), but my present/future schedule might be a bit too packed for me to actually achieve something in a single term. Nevertheless, I wish for the 15+ aspiring candidates the best of luck in the election.

Dear makecoders,
I believe not all of you may know me (I was gone for a month), but I have seen the forums a lot before my disappearance, and know most of the users like the back of my hands. The forums is like one friendly neighborhood, all knowing each other, helping everyone, and more importantly, socializing. I may not be as popular or intelligent as Randomuser here, but I do have confidence in the forums. I’d be more than happy to be a president to all of you! Whether or not I win the presidential candidate spot, I will keep on making high quality games, hosting fun activities, and more importantly, being a friend to you, not just a user in the forums.
I know if I don’t get selected, but all I can say is, “VOTE FOR ME!!”.

For my speech I’m not gonna write too much because I want people who can’t read too well to read my whole thing. Anyway I wanna be president because this community has brought me joy, creativity, inclusiveness, challenges, and a very fun time. And while I am president I wanna bring what I’ve felt to everyone else and every new person that comes to the forums. I know I know I’m not as skillful and amazing as the others signing up for president but I think I have what it takes! I most likely will lose but I’ll try my best for the better of this community! Who’s with me!!! (Pls say (yaaaa!!!)so I don’t feel embarrassed) thank you

As you may or may not know I am running for the 2026 MakeCode Presidency.
In my almost 3 years on these forums I’ve learned much about this great community and it means a lot to have the possibility of being appointed the president of this place. Now that I am running with @Astro I get to share this amazing journey with someone whose been here even longer and is even more experienced. Astro is an amazing programmer and a genuinely kind human being who is nothing short of an absolute joy to be around and its an honor to be running with them at this time.
I spent a big portion of my life on these forums and in my time here I created many ventures to benefit the forums, such as Channel 0 MakeCode News which inspired many other users to join the journalism career path. In the year that we ran Channel 0 News we made a fanbase of users all excited about hearing the news. We helped many users, both new and old, to stay on the forums long term and create more amazing projects as they advance their coding skills. I made somewhat of an online news family in the process. This venture is what allowed me to stay long term and become a trusted source by many people. I’m exceptionally thankful for the opportunity that I had I would endorse and encourage these news sources and make the community the best place for new coders in the process.
As the president my goals would be to aspire young programmers to fulfill their dreams in the field. I want to create more ways for new people to learn, grow, and become skilled at their work. I would want teachers to have more access to resources to encourage these kids to achieve their full potential and to not just benefit the community, but to also benefit the world as whole by starting their personal MakeCode journey and eventually going into work in computer science and related fields.
Following in the footsteps of @randomuser will be a tough task but with your support I’m up to the challenge, and will make sure it gets done no matter the cost.
We as a community are capable of great things, and that’s why you should vote for me and Astro. The community can help hundreds if not thousands of future programmers, so a vote for me and Astro is a vote to not just better a person, or community, but to better the world. Together we can achieve great things but only if you let it happen. You know what the right choice is, you just need to make it.
