As promised, I will in fact review the game. I remember using this old template I made, so I’m going to basically use it again, and provide a more comprehensive review at the end.
☐ A kindergartener drew it
☐ Down bad

Good (it is converted but I like the composition)
☐ Amazing
☐ I’d rather watch grass grow
☐ Not very amusing
Alright (the story carries the game but the gameplay is very simple, you just have to make choices)

☐ So cliché
☐ Admireable

And now, for my actual review. To put it shortly, the game is cool. I like a lot of things about it, so let’s name some of them. Firstly, thank you for including me as a playable character! That was pretty cool!
The gameplay isn’t much for the majority of the playthrough, as it’s a choose your own adventure game. Basically, you choose an option and watch the story unfold. One criticism I have of this is that it’s often not very clear in which direction an option will take me. Like, I could think I have chosen all the right options but end up getting a worse ending than I hoped.
There are however some quirks in the gameplay that I do like. For example, being able to open the notification panel. It’s kind of a shame you didn’t make any use of it, but oh well. Being able to click on topics is cool too, and I like the reset feature too! It stumped me for a second when I encountered it for the first time, but when I figured it out, I have to say I thought it was a super creative feature I’ve never seen in use before!
Considering the art, while it is converted, it plays in nicely in the game and it really doesn’t matter. I like the effects a lot, as well as the attention to detail. As an example - the number of replies increases as more people reply. That’s a nice touch.
Finally, the story. Obviously, the story is the entire point of the game, and it’s great. I love how it shows the true unity of the forum, and how many people you included. Sure, some kind of “hacker” might not show up and cartoonishly wreck the forum, but that’s not the point. Great stuff, really.
And that’s basically the review- Wait, someone’s on the other line…
The possesive form of “it” would be its, not “it’s”, because “it’s” means “it is”. And since this is a critical mistake, that’s going to have to be a D+…Don’t try to beat me at my own game
Touché, @ChimbroDaPro
my game
I hate bad grammar
Me and my freinds are gooder at grammar than most of the people
I could care less
I literally am so mad my brain could explode
this is a joke btw
Yooooo! He actually did it y’all…
Erm, actually
it was converted in order for me to have a template of your profile pictures, but it looked AWFUL so I ended up changing each of them by quite a lot. You can see this with @DangerNoodle and @AbstractDesigner’s profile pictures in the game. If you noticed, @Unique’s pfp in the game is really bad, and that was STILL after me editing it by a lot. So, uh… yeah.
Oof. lol, yeah, I only put in one text prompt cuz it was being super problematic.
True… I did that so that the player would want to replay the game to figure out which ending to try and get, but I guess it can get really get annoying to go through EVERY SINGLE POSSIBLE SITUATION. So, yeah, thanks for that!
AAAAHHHHHHH! I know, I was so inclined to do something with it! The thing is that I did that notification panel thing FIRST, but then I realised that I was under a time limit and decided to move on to the other UI as well as the story. But you are so right, it would be so epic if you could get notifications on other topics. If my iPad doesn’t crash when I open it (which it unquestionably will), I would change this first.
Wow, you really thought it was just completely converted and I did nothing, didn’t you? Honestly, I can’t blame you. I mean, you’re actually not wrong. I did convert the images. All I’m saying is that they’d look a lot worse if I didn’t, you know, do something.
Woooow… you just HAD to get your revenge, didn’t you Mr. @Sarge?
Honestly, though, you are one strict teacher… EVERYONE makes that mistake. I thought I’d be getting a B- for that, honestly. But a D+?! Cruel, I tell you.
Don’t jinx it…
We’re going to act like that whole final exchange just didn’t exist.
Carry on, y’all!
So, @KIKIvsIT, when are we getting the submitted games?
P.S. I’m sorry I know I’ve been asking so much it’s just I’m so excited to see what everyone made!!!
@Sarge
and everyone else
i want to apologize for my previous post.
my intent was for it to be sarcastic, but it seems that my original message didnt reach you all
i hope that you will forgive me
– @marioeligi
I think the lore should be expanded on. And HOW DO I GET THE PERFECT ENDING
Which ending do you guys think is the easiest to get?
I… I won… This is crazy… I thought a few more people would join though.
Also @richard you asked how to pronounce my name
So, uh you’re saying it mostly right, it’s just that at the start you say it like “chime” whereas it’s just “chim”. Thats literally it lol
Ending 3. I haven’t been able to get anything else yet.
You deserve the win! Your game is amazing!
Personally I was a bit uninspired by theme and the short time limit so that’s why I didn’t make a game. Well done for winning though!
That was my EXACT sitution with this game jam. I couldn’t think of any game ideas and the short deadline really made me reconsider entering.
Still, congrats @ChimbroDaPro!
@DangerNoodle meant that the link you sent in the MakeCode Forums game was actually a link to that game.
I always pronounced it “chim” “duh” “pro”
I know, I just hoped it would have more lore XD
I used to say it that way until I double-checked and corrected!
