THE MAKECODE FORUMS IS IN DANGER.
@scamma’s backstory is FINALLY HERE! I’ve had this idea for a backstory in my head for a while now, and I tried to make it link in smoothly with the first “The MakeCode Forums game. This game does not occur in The Forumverse, but rather another game entirely, which is why I attempted to change the colour palette as well as art style (it ain’t a masterpiece).
Despite this game intending to be a mini halfway-point game, it actually ended up being 1630 blocks… my poor, poor iPad… I’m sorry…
Along with that, there is one extremely small area that I couldn’t debug. The issue is that if you spam A when it saves the first time, it will very slightly mess things up. Like, INSIGNIFICANT. But I still think you should all know about it.
The gameplay in The Wrath of Vortex is turn-based, so it will be entering the mini game jam! The layout of the turn based section was inspired by Omori, a game that I played recently.
Epilogue Information (for when you complete the game)
So, scammaMAX enters The MakeCode Forums. He knows of the moderators, and their power over The Forums, so he focuses on removing their access from the site. Once that’s done, he goes onto the forums, and starts acting cruel and ruthless.
Then, YOU appear. You are THE PLAYER. Once you post, scamma says, “Uh {Profile name}, Why are YOU here? I’m about to destroy the forums, and YOU show up?”. He knows it’s THE PLAYER. If you ask why he’s doing all this, he LIES. He has never been on the forum before then. As well as that, he never brings it up. No one knows what his question was, because he never had a question. No one has asked about it yet.
At the start, scamma’s profile picture is an exclamation mark. He has not fully adapted to entering The MakeCode Forums, and after the first part, he’s finally gotten used to the place.
Finally, here are some people that helped me mentally when I was building this game (if it weren’t for these people, this game would be coming out next month lol)
@pecan4 - Thanks for being a kind person!
Mr. @Sarge - Thanks for being cool!
@PixelDoodle - Thanks for bringing joy!
@Luke - Thanks for giving me creativity!
@Future_Knight - Thanks for being a (slightly mischievous) friend!
@danger_kitty - Thanks for being an inspiration!
@InvalidProject - Thanks for being resilient!
And thanks to everyone else who tries this game!
