Hey there! I’m here to tell you some tricks you may not have known about Microsoft MakeCode Arcade. Let’s begin!
#1 - Themes
If Orange isn’t your color, then I have a trick for you! In the editor, you can change the color theme of your coding place.
Just go to settings on the top right corner and click themes.
There are four different themes.
-
Default Orange
-
Light (This is what I use)
-
Dark
-
High Contrast
You can change your theme anytime while coding and can be done multiple times.
#2 - Green Screen
This one might be one of my favorites. I found this completely by accident, and it gave me a mini jump scare.
First, go to settings and select Green Screen On
After you do that, choose the camera that you want to record. (Example: If you want to see your face, select the front camera option.)
(Yes I did this in the middle of science class).
Cool, huh?
It is kind of weird for mobile, however.
#3 - Version History
Have you ever worked on a project just to get the horror of your code being messed up? Well version History can help you. Again, on settings you can hit the Version History button and not only will it give the code from each time it is saved, but it will also give the time when that code was updated.
(This one is more for new users.)
#4 - Extended Music Notes
When making a song in Arcade, you may have needed a long note but unfortunately you just couldn’t figure out how. Well I’m here to help :]
Just click the blue line and DRAGGGGGGGGGG →
I hope these were cool! Some may have known a few, but they all took me quite a bit to figure out!
I will be scouting out for more >:]
